Chapter 330: HEAVENLY EMPEROR’S ANGEL

Two days later

Ning Mei and Yu Lian walked into the audition venue for Heavenly Emperor’s Angel. It was the audition for the second female role, that Yu Lian had been talking about last time.

When they reached the waiting area outside where the audition was supposed to take place, they saw a few other actress, some with their managers and assistants sitting there waiting for their turns.

They were some eight or nine, and everyone present there were more of less popular in the industry. It was a high budget and one of the most anticipated movie of the year after all.

When the other people turned to look at the new comer who has just joined them, they had different reactions. Many of them were surprised to see her here, but none of them were shocked. It was not something unexpected.

A few of them did not bother about it at all. They just glanced at her before turning their attention to whatever they were doing.

A few of them nodded at Ning Mei with a smile, as a token of greeting with was returned by Ning Mei too.

And there were also a few of them who casted jealous and not so happy looks at her. They did not even attempt to conceal their dislike for her. Ning Mei did not even bother with their , but she made sure to roll her eyes at their faces. She did it so that they know that they were the least she could care about.

Ning Mei sat on one corner with Yu Lian and she went through the papers she had.

The role she was auditioning for was a very interesting one, and also one of the most important roles in the movie.

The part of her story went this way ...

The character, Yang Guixi, was a very talented girl. She was the daughter of a noble in the emperor’s court. Yang Guixi was an excellent dancer and had been blessed with wonderful skill of swordsmanship.

She had incomparable beauty and was soughted out by almost every men in the kingdom for marriage.

But her heart belonged to the Emperor’s first son, Qin Guang. He was also her childhood sweetheart and playmate. But when they were growing up, the emperor sent Qin Guang away from the palace and Kingdom for gaining knowledge, and learning many different skills for him to be a remarkable future Emperor.

Yang Guixi waited for ten years for him to return. She had profound liking towards him, but with time that turned into love. She had fallen in a one sided love with him. Yang Guixi had already decided that if she were to marry someone, it would be Qin Guang, or she would forever remain unmarried.

She did her best to make herself worthy of him. Her popularity reached side across the kingdom.

But the girl did not know that the man she was awaiting for did not share the same. Infact, he did remeber her, but only as a little girl whom he adored and cherished like a little sister.

The day Qin Guang returned to the palace, the whole of the Kingdom celebrated. But the most happiest person was Yang Guixi. They had a happy reunion, and Yang Guixi was overjoyed to see that Qin Guang still remembered her and that he still adored her.

Everything was fine and happy for her. Then one night, she walked into the palace. Yang Guixi had a freedom of walking in and out of the palace at anytime. She was given this privilege, because she was the Emperor’s and the Empress’ favourite.

Today, Yang Guixi had made up her mind, that she would tell Qin Guang about her feelings. She had already waited for ten years.

But when she reached his room, she found that their were other people in there too. At that time, she started feeling obnoxious. And though, it went against her ethics she could not help but eavesdrop at them.

She recognised the Emperor’s and the Empress’ voice.

They were asking Qin Guang to now get married and settle down, to which Qin Guang agreed.

Hearing this, Yang Guixi could not stop blushing. She was overjoyed to hear that he was ready for marriage. But the next things that followed left her horrified.

The Emperor than proposed Yang Guixi’s name to Qin Guang, saying that she was the most soughted out woman in the kingdom and she would make a perfect wife for him.

But Qin Guang straight away denied from marrying her. And that left Yang Guixi struck by lightning.

He said that he could never marry Yang Guixi and could never develop feelings for her romantically. He said that she was like a sister to him and that he always wished for her to be happy and protected. He cannot even think of her like that.

The Emperor and the Empress understood him and did not force him with it because it was only their idea. They did not know about Yang Guixi’s feelings.

That left Yang Guixi broken. She ran out of the palace while crying, her tears leaving her eyes like shiny pearls. And she went to the back of a mountain.

It waz a full moon night and she sat under a tree, as her cried pitifully. But after sometime, she stopped crying. Her tears had dried away, but the pain in her heart had not subsided.

She then stood up and started dancing. She always found her solace in dancing, and she started dancing, untill her foot bled. Finally she fell down of exhaustion.

But then she noticed something amiss, she saw many men, nearing a dozen of them surround her. Horrified, she looked at them with her guards up. They did not look like they possesed aby good intentions.

And they indeed did not. They wanted to rape her.

At that time, Yang Guixi took out the hidden dragger. And warned them to stay away. But they were many in number. She knew her capacity. She could not takle all these men alone, and she was very tired too.

But a remarking trait of Yang Guixi in the movie was her bravery. She was brave.
