Ye Lifie eyed the girl, " Not here. In private. It is something important. "
" Why? Did something happen? " Tang Xuhang asked her with concern. He was worried something bad might have happened.
Ye Lifie looked at the girl again and then turning to Tang Xuhang, she said, " I would like to talk about it in private, Xuhang. It’s important. "
The model whom Tang Xuhang was entertaining couldn’t take the glares she was receiving any longer. Being a girl, she very well understood that Ye Lifie wanted her gone. She rolled her eyes at her and said to Tang Xuhang, " Xuhang, I will excuse you two. You can have a chat, till then I will go fill myself with some sweets. "
The model emphasised on the word ’sweets’ and she winked at him. Tang Xuhang ofcourse got the hint as he smiled at her cheekily and said, " I will find you later. "
The girl shrugged and left. It was not like she really cared about the looks she was receiving from Ye Lifei, or neither did she cared the man she left with her.
Tang Xuhang was a light hearted playboy, who flirts with everyone, but never remains in any serious relationship. And everybody knew that.
Back there, Tang Xuhang asked, " Now tell me. What happened? " Ye Lifie asked Tang Xuhang to come a little closer.
They were already at a corner of the event hall, where they were visible yet not too attention grabbing.
Ye Lifie smiled at him and asked, " Who was that? A new chick? " Tang Xuhang chuckled and shrugged. " It’s isn’t like that. We just met a while ago. It was just a healthy flirting. "
Ye Lifie smiled cheekily as she said, " But you never flirted with me? Am I not attractive enough for you? " Though her words sounded as a a friendly joke, but there was a glint in her eyes, as if she really wanted to know about it.
Tang Xuhang acted dramatically shocked, putting a palm on his chest as he said, " Hoo! How could you say something like this, Ye Lifei! You are my bro’s girlfriend. I can’t break our bro code! " And he was telling the truth.
Tang Xuhang flirted with many. And he was renowned playboy of the industry, known to never be indulged in any serious relationship. Yet, he never tried his chance with any taken ladies. Especially, if they were his friend’s women!
Ye Lifie pressed her lips together in a smile and Tang Xuhang laughed.
But the next second, Tang Xuhang’s laugh was sucked out and was replaced with shock when Ye Lifie placed her hand on his chest and said, " Xuhang, I need to tell you something. "
Tang Xuhang started at the hand on his chest, and took a step back. He did not smile and nodded his head, " Yes, Ye Lifei tell me. What is it? "
Ye Lifei took a step forward towards him and said, " Xuhang, I cannot continue my relationship with Shaohung. "
Tang Xuhang widened his eyes in shock and blurted out, " But why? "
" Because.."
" No! I don’t want to hear it. What ever it is , you must speak to Bai Shaohung. I am not willing to be get involved in your personal matters. " Tang Xuhang cut into Ye Lifei’s words.
He thought that maybe Ye Lifei wanted him to speak to Bai Shaohung on behalf of her. He was about to run away from there. But the next second, he was pulled back by Ye Lifei and brought him behind a huge vase.
Now Tang Xuhang had a bad feeling about it. His face blackened and he said, " Ye Lifei, it would be better if you maintain a distance between us. People might get it wrong. Also, I don’t want to listen about you and Bai Shaohung. "
" You have to ! " Ye Lifei snapped almost getting irritated with how he wanted to get away from her. But then she took a breath and controlled however she was feeling.
" Why? " Tang Xuhang uttered. Why did he have to listen to her?! He literally had zero interest in the topic regarding his friend’s relationship. And he did not know why was this simple thing so difficult for this woman in front of him to register in her brain.
" Because I like someone else! " Ye Lifie said. And hearing her, Tang Xuhang’s eyes widened for a split second before he turned irritated again. He said, " Wow. Good for you. You should talk about it to Bai Shaohung. Now excuse me. "
But before he could go anywhere, he was blocked by Ye Lifei and she urgently said, " Because, the one I like is you! "
Tang Xuhang froze there for a second staring right into her face.
Ye Lifie stared back at him too. But befurey, she could say anything, she saw his face crunch up in disgust.
He said with a scrowl on his face, " Woman, have you lost your mind or what?
You are my friend’s girlfriend. Why would you even have feelings for me when I never gave you any hints! And aren’t you worried about what Bai Shaohung would do if he comes to know about your betrayal? "
Bai Shaohung was not from the Entertainment industry but had followed his father’s footsteps and was involved in business. He would also invest in somd of the dramas or films. Infact, it was with the help of Bai Shaohung that Ye Lifie was able to make her career in the industry.
On hearing his words, Ye Lifei thought that Tang Xuhang was worried about what Bai Shaohung would do. She did not believe that he had no feelings for her. All she needed to stroke his manly ego and seduce him. It was not that he was in any kind of serious relationship. It was easy for men like him to fall for her.
Ye Lifie stepped forward to him and touched his face. She said, " Don’t worry about Bai Shaohung, Xuhang. Your father is minister, isn’t it. Also you are from the Tang family! What could he posibly do to you!?
All you need to do is be with me. I will keep you happy, Xuhang. Because I.. I have fallen crazily in love with you.
