Chapter 308: AFRAID OF THE PLACE?
When the car stopped, Ning Yiyi looked at Muye with a confused face and asked, " What happened? Why did we stop here? "
Getting off the car, Muye smiled at her and said, " I need to get something. Get comfortable. I will be back soon. "
Ning Yiyi furrowed her eyebrows in confusion but then nodded her head.
After sometime, Ning Mei vabe back with lots of things in her hands. Ning Yiyi raised her eyebrows and asked, " What are all these! " Winking at her, Miye replied, " Snacks avd drinks. Don’t you think it is so dry with out food? "
Ning Mei glanced at the big bag that he brought, she saw some of the snacks were her favourite, and some that she absolutely hated. Ning Yiyi sighed as she remembered that she was on a diet right now, but nevermind.
The other thing that he brought was a tray of beer cans. Muye on seeing her staring at the beer cans said as he got into the car, " Don’t worry, Yiyi. This beer has low alcohol percentage. "
Ning Yiyi heard him and nodded her head. He started driving and she got busy on her phone, occasionally talking to him. Ning Yiyi did not take notice of where he was driving too. She just thought maybe he will randomly drive around and drop her back home. She had no interest left after all, because what she had planned was brutally denied by him. And she had currently no ideas how to restart her plans from.
It was when she sighed and looked out of the window, and the moment she saw where they we heading to, Ning Yiyi furrowed her eyebrows heavily. She turned to look at Muye, she he took a sharp turn as he drove down the high way to the road between the woods.
" W- Where are we going? Muye ! " Ning Yiyi almost yelled in panic.
Muye turned his head towards her and arched on of his eyebrows as he asked, " Why? We are going to a good place to chill."
" But why here? Isn’t this place where ... " Ning Yiyi looked out of the window once more as she did not complete her sentence.
" Where Ning Jiming met with the accident? " Muye completed her sentence as a question. Ning Yiyi turned to him as she nodded her head with the utmost innocency that she could display. It was as if she was somewhat scared of this inauspicious place.
Looking at her Ning Yiyi’s act of innocency, Ning Mei almost scoffed loud. How pretentious!
Muye then shrugged his shoulders as he said casually, " Yes, it is. " Then turning at Ning Yiyi, who was still staring at him, he chuckled as he said, " Why? Are you afraid I will do something to you at the same place where something bad happened with your brother? "
Ning Yiyi had a small smile on her face that did not reach her eyes. She shook her head and said, " No. I know you wouldn’t hurt me. " Though she doubted her own words.
Firstly, though she started to have a little soft corner for him, it did not mean she had started trusting him completely. He was a man after all. And the one who had saved someone whom she intended to kill.
Nevertheless, she was bearing him mostly for the sake of her plans and because he was somewhat good looking, who could satisfy her ego. There was no harm in playing to her heart’s content before sacrificing him, was there.?
She then saw Muye stop the car at a particular place. Where she had stopped had no living trees upto a little distance, and the surrounding was burnt. Muye pointed towards a particular direction as he said, " That. That was the place where I found Ning Jiming’s car upturned. And he was at the verge of dying. "
Ning Yiyi also looked at the direction, and both of their eyes hardened. And both for different reasons.
The more Ning Mei looked at the spot, the more her heart clenched thinking of how her brother would have lost his life , she she was even a minute late. She hated to remember how Ning Jiming was laying there in that car in such a pathetic condition. How helpess must he have felt. And the more she thought of that, the more she hated the person sitting next to her.
Ning Yiyi also stared at the ground, whose surrounding was burnt and she also remembered that day and her teeth clenched tighter. The more she looked at the place the more she got angry at the thought of how she was do close to succeed in her plan.
Everything would have gone perfectly if not for the person beside her had poke his nose in that situation. Ning Jiming would have died, while she would have got his position! Ning Yiyi felt anger and annoyance surge into her for Muye with each passing second.
She saw Muye start the car and start driving. Ning Yiyi took a deep breath and looked out of the car. Honestly, she was not very sure about now. She did have an unsettling and unsure feeling about this man. After all, she was not very familiar with him.
Ning Yiyi had first for once even doubted if Muye and Ning Jiming had maybe playing some trick on her, or if they doubted her. But a few days ago, something happened that made her believe the opposite.
Ning Jiming had come to her and gave her the responsibility of helping him find the ’culprit’ behind his accident. He especially told her to keep an eye on Muye. He also said that though, Muye had saved his life, he doubted if Muye wanted something to do with him, so he orchestrad this and then saved his life.
Ning Yiyi when she had heard his was very relieved. Atleast she was safe in all way. Ning Jiming had no idea of her plans or deeds. And he still belived her.
Whereas, Muye, this guy was a love struck fool. She just had to play games properly and everything would go just perfect!
