Yu Lian and Ning Mei were talking about the post last night, when a group of girls finally managed to walk up to them and a girl among them asked, " Hello, you are Ning Mei, right? "
Ning Mei looked at the group of teenage girls and smiled. She nodded her head and replied, " Yes, I am. Nice to meet you."
The girls’ eyes lit up and one of them exclaimed, " Wow, you really are! If you don’t mind, can you take a picture with us? "
Ning Mei smiled at them and replied cheerfully, " Ofcourse! Why not. "
There were six girls in the group who came up to her, and Ning Mei happily clicked pictures with them. She even actively suggested cute filters and good angles for the pictures.
Soon, many other walked up to her in hopes of securing a picture with the rising name in the industry. Earlier, most of them had recognised her, but no one could mutter up confidence to come up to her. And now seeing such a sweet side of her, they too joined the group.
When Ning Mei and Yu Lian exicted the cafe to go back to the set, both of them were in very happy mood. And why would they not! Ning Mei got her first public recognition today.
Also, her plan yesterday seemed to skyrocket quite well. They found Ning Mei and ELEGLAM’s leading on the search bar since the morning.
Ning Mei’s social media engagement has been increasing rapidly.
And the best thing was, magically the negative comments on her posts had ceased coming. Also, most of the earlier hateful comments seemed to be deleted. Well, that was Ning Mei’s magic.
After all, the most of the people who just sit behind their laptops, and phone screen doing nothing all day, except spreading hate for other people, surely don’t want to get themselves involved in any sort of legal matters.
So they had better deleted their comments. And infact, this type of strong approach was praised by many. It gave out powerful vibe, and people liked it.
And the most shocking thing that happened was, Ning Yiyi’s congratulatory post for Ning Mei.
Early in the morning, Ning Yiyi’s team was asked by the crew of LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP, to post a supportive post for Ning Mei, and clarify that their is no bad blood between the two. As it was Ning Yiyi’s fans who had bashed Ning Mei the most, putting allegations that she copied Ning Yiyi.
And the crew did not want any rumour of bad blood between their two main female leads, especially at this particular time when they were trying to popularise and hype up the drama as much as they want.
Ning Yiyi at first was in a way satisfied with the way her fans were bashing Ning Mei, as she too felt that Ning Mei had stolen her limelight. Also she did not vibe very well with the girl. Also, she did have her own doubts regarding her identity which still remains unsolved.
But then, her manager received a call from the team of the drama, asking them to support Ning Mei. Ning Yiyi was very against it, but she had no other options, because if she denied doing so, her goodwill and image will be destroyed. And she will be seen as the bad guy, as Ning Mei was there to support during the launch for Autumn falls.
So, a post from Ning Yiyi’s weibo account went up, which was made by her manager, where she shared the link for ELEGLAM and added,
[ Congratulations to Ning Mei! I am so happy and proud with you achievements. You are making your way for the best, and we are all rooting for it. Congratulations to Ning Mei and ELEGLAM. ]
After all the hassle went up, people now mainly gave positive feedback to it.

Within the week’s time, Ning Mei’s scenes in Love and Friendship were done. And she also remained active on her social media, updating her feed regularly with pictures and feeds, like either exercising, working out, dancing, or something like that that maintained the the topic of discussion.

The week ended quite fruitfully with her name and ELEGLAM being trending for the whole week at first and second.
Right now, Ning Mei and Yu Lian were in Yu Lian’s apartment, with lots of scripts and papers spread in front of them. Last week, Ning Mei’s popularity skyrocketed in such a way, that now many entertainment agency, drama crew, brand endrosements were seeking to work with her. And the most nerve tickling fact was, it was all happening before her debut drama!
Currently, Ning Mei was casually looking through a paper from amongst them, while Yu Lian was on a phone call with Lee Hao of Koral.
After she hung up the call, Yu Lian was in an obvious good mood. Ning Mei put down the papers in her hand and asked, " So? What’s the news? "
Yu Lian laughed and clapped her hands happily and said enthusiastically, " Oh my God! Ning Mei! We did make it!! Lee Hao said that the CEO was very happy with the response, and he also said that she knows has full trusts on us! The brand is ours!!! "
Ning Mei widened her eyes and hugged her friend in happiness. She lightly slapped her cheeks and said in disbelief, " Good heavens! I still can’t believe this is all happening for real, Lian! "
" That’s right. So the appointment for our long waited goal, is scheduled on Monday. " Ning Mei nodded her head happily.
Yu Lian was also in a happy mood. Then her eyes fell on the paper in Ning Mei’s hand and she asked, " What is that you were looking? Did some new project catch your attention? "
Ning Mei looked back at the paper and kept them down, she shook her head and said, " No, nothing that caught my attention. It was just a referral letter of an agency, who want us to join them. "
