Chapter 206: SPICY NEWS
They want it to be a popular cast. Even if anyone is a newbie, still then he had to gain fame. They say the more the fame, the more will be the popularity of the drama. And the more will be the revenue.
So darling, you are the one who is going to get the most gain here. As you are the second female lead, and a very important character in the drama, also a newbie, the cast has to heavily promote you now.
That means we do not have to wait for the release of the drama, as you will be popular even before it’s airing!"
Ning Mei widened her eyes as she heard the news. That’s so impressive. She got benefits without having to do anything! So she asked, " That is so great! So who is this new producer? And my unintentional benefactor? "
Yu Lian shrugged and said, " Unfortunately, I dint know. Uncle Wang did not disclose the name. He said we will only get to know about it, when it is offical. But this is an insider news now. "
Ning Mei nodded happily. Whatever it was, Ning Mei was just happy and content with how the things were coursing.
Then Yu Lian again said, " Now the spicier news! " And looking at her, Ning Mei’s interest also pigued and she too hot interested. By now, the makeup artist had packed up her things and left the best friends talk on their own.
Yu Lian pulled her chair closer to Ning Mei and said, " A few days earlier, " then pausing for a second, Yu Lian continued,
" Ning Yiyi modeled for the coming season’s designs of Koral. "
Hearing this, Ning Mei frowned. ’ Are the staffs of Koral up to something?’. And she said to Yu Lian, " I don’t understand. Explain it. "
Yu Lian said, " Alright, hear me up. This is the news that I got from Lee Hao himself.
Ning Yiyi has modeled for the upcoming season’s designs. While, you are given the latest designs that the CEO has personally designed herself. Those are general wears, that can be worn all year.
But her’s project hold more credibility, as people mostly go after the season’s fashion then those that are all over the year.
So, it has been decided that her’s designs will be released a week before the release of your designs. And here is where you face a major challenge. Yoh have to supress the popularity and craze of Yiyi’s seasonal sale. Only then will you be given the brand ambassadoring project. "
Ning Mei had a light frown on her face, as she listened to Yu Lian. "It seems quite a very big challenge. " , She said.
" It will indeed be a big challenge. " They heard Lee Hao’s voice who entered the vanity. As the make up artist had left the door open, he did not bother knocking on it. And also he heard the conversation between two girls.
Lee Hao was followed by two other of his assistant who pushed the rack of event themed clothes into the room. Ning Mei and Yu Lian glanced at the clothes and they knew Ning Mei would be modeling for this dresses.
They looked back at Lee Hao, who said, " This is the best way how you can prove yourself to Koral as well as the public whether or not you are capable of being the face of the Brand, isn’t it. "
Seeing her slowly nodding her head, Lee Hao explained. " To be frank, Ning Mei, you are still a newbie in the industry. And you don’t have any existing projects in your portfolio. If we directly promote you to as the brand ambassador of the brand, it would be unfair to many who has been in the industry working for years and who have many projects to show.
Also, as thinking as a business entity, there are less chances of emphasing sn impact on the market in that case.
Our CEO also thinks that you have a lot of potential, so she decided to give it a try with her exclusive dress designs that she had not allowed anyone to model for in the last two years. Therefore, we decided to create a chance for you in the brand itself. "
Ning Mei and Yu Lian nodded in agreement. Ofcourse, they had to work hard to get to that position. Ning Mei was already lucky to be preffered as the first choice of the brand. Now, she understood that she could not be naive enough to think, that everything will be given to her hand in hand. The competition was fierce in the industry and she has to fight for it.
And now that Ning Mei knew, her sense of competing with her even increased. This the the first step where she gets the opportunity to start Ning Yiyi’s downfall.
Ning Mei smirked and said, " I am ready for it. "
Lee Hao smiled at her. Her sense of competing and fervour was likeable.
Soon, she started changing into the dresses. The first dress she changed into was a black strapless trumpet dress, that reached her ankle. That dress had a long loose net jacket that hung on her shoulder, providing a translucent look to her smooth and exposed arms and shoulders.
The black colour gave a beautiful contrast with her fair and supple skin, which looked gorgeous.
Ning Mei walked out of the vanity room, and she looked at the set. It was a soft designed room, with soft lighting, giving a pleasant aesthetic look. The set did not have too many furniture. But only a beautiful couch, a table, table lamps on it, few pictures and a well lighted room. It gave a pleasant living room vibe.
The equipments, lightnings and camera were already ready.
The moment she stepped out of the vanity room, all the eyes turned to look at her.
The older staffs in Li Chen’s studio who were present last time during her portfolio shoot, already had an impression about her.
Yet, seeing her again in different category of dresses with the beautiful persona that she carried, they could not help but be in awe yet again. Let alone, the new people who were completely dazed.
