Ning Mei was merrily enjoying her time when she heard a faint noise of someone yelling in pain. She stopped munching on her chips and concentrated on the source of the sound. It was faint but she could, hear it.
Ning Mei then heard the yell again of the same voice. It was coming from the other side of the pond. Ning Mei looked at the direction, bht she could not figure out anything. It was filled with dense nights. And it being the time time was not helping at all. Though the moon was shined brightly tonight, Ning Mei could hardly see anything from where she stiod.
Therefore, her curious cat woke up again. And she hurriedly stuffed her mouth with the leftover chips, dusted her hands, carried the cake and walked over the direction of the sound.
Ning Mei made sure to run without making any noise. Who knew what was happening on the other side?! As the sound was coming from the other end of the pond, Ning Mei had to run around half of the pond before reaching the woods.
Just when she reached those dense trees, Ning Mei slowed down. She started walking slowly and cautiously so that, she herself don’t get into any trouble.
Ning Mei tried to locate the source of the sound, and just then the yell was heard again. She walked towards that direction, and saw that there was some clear ground in between the circle of long dense trees.
There she saw two cars parked there, six heavily built men who were heavily armed with guns, standing there. And there was a man who was made to kneel down on the ground. He looked in his mind thirties and he had cuts, blood, and flesh exposed from every part of his body. His whole body was drenched in blood. And in front of him stood a man pointing a gun at him.
A little far from them, another man stood there as if unbothered by the whole drama going on there. He simply looked at the scene with his hands folded to his chest, as if it did not matter to him. The man who was pointing the gun was wearing a mask, that she could see. And even if he had not worn it, Ning Mei would not be able to see his face. Infact she was unable to look at anyone’s face there, not even the victim.
It was because of the shadow of the trees, falling on them . And the other reason being her, at a notable distance from the scene of action. Moreover the man who stood leaning on the car was nothing less than a black silhouette for her. He was completely invisible.
Ning Mei hid behind a very large tree and looked at what was happening. Today she felt herself so sneaky... Her curious cat must have having its time today !
Still it felt fun. Ning Mei tried making not an once of sound and just observed what was happening.
The man who was kneeling down on both his knees had his hands tied back. He was badly hurt as if someone had beaten him till his bearence limit. And Ning Mei did not need to ask who these someons could be.
The man was crying and he said, "I.. I am sorry. I already told you everything! Please forgive me ! I cannot bear it anymore! Please! "
The man with the gun tsked and said, " Forgiveness? You should have thought of this before betraying us dear. You must have known what consequences are there of betraying the hands that feeds you! "
The wounded man tried moving but as he moved an inch, he yelled again. Ning Mei furrowed her eyebrows and tried looked properly at the scene. They did not even touch him this time for him to shout so loudly.
But after she took a look more clearly, her eyes widened like sausages! Oh DAMN !
At first it wasn’t so visible as the man’s back wasn’t facing her, but after she looking properly, a stick like something could be seen sticking out of his butt.
His pants were still on, so that meant they had pushed that stick or whatever against the pants! HELL !
Then Ning Mei heard him yell again, " YOU CRUEL BASTARDS ! MONSTERS ! You have tortured me enough, right! Let me go! Can’t you forgive me! I did not know your background, I swear! Orelse, I would have never tried doing it ! "
The man with the gun, put down his gun, and then squatted to his level. He then said, "You did not know who we were. That’s fine. But a dog like you should have known that we feed you. And the hands that feeds you can also strangle you to death!
