The call rang and the other side answered the call, Ning Mei’s usual composure completely changed. And as if she turned into a complete different person, she talked with utmost sweetness and love that even her childhood friends were questioning their lives.
"Hello?" Gu Yeze answered.
"Hubby... Hii.. " Ning Mei cripped, making Yu Lian and Feng Ye bite their lips in shock. They just couldn’t digest it yet.
" Yes, I was saying that ... actually my friends can’t believe that i have got a husband. No... No... No... I mean, they are not able to digest that I got a super brilliant husband, by God’s grace. So... They want to meet you... Could you please make time and meet them today?"
"Okay. Where to meet them? And what time?" Gu Yeze asked.
"My apartment. Will it be okay at six?" Ning Mei asked.
"Okay." Gu Yeze answered.
Hearing this, Ning Mei cripped with a bright smile, "Fantastic! Let me text you the address! " Ning Mei said and then disconnected the call with a bright smile.
"He will be coming over by six! Then you see, how good of a husband I have!" Ning Mei said with her confidence soaring high.
She saw that her friends did not have much of a reaction. Only their lips pressed in a thin line. So she just shrugged her shoulders, and said, " Fine. Don’t get happy, your wish. Now, if you want have these gorgeous delicacies or just remain upset! But don’t complain latter, if I eat all of them.
And she started eating. Feng Ye and Yu Lian now couldn’t do anything else but just to wait.
And as they had to wait, they decided to eat atlast after considering for a whole two minutes straight and after watching the monster in front of them inhaling all the food.
So, the whole afternoon they just spent lazing around at Ning Mei’s apartment, giving her weird looks time to time. In between, while Ning Mei was packing her bags, deciding to take her important stuffs with her, she could hear Feng Ye rant about her to someone. She didn’t have to guess long to know who he was talking to. It was Li Chen without doubt. And then, Li Chen too came to her apartment, to join the staring group.
Ning Mei felt that she was the only odd one out at her own apartment. She then sighed and thought. Fine. No problem. They will flip as soon as the know who my hubby is. Huh.
It was almost five thirty then. Yu Lian, Feng Ye and Li Chen sat at the couch, looking at very busybody running around the house, doing one stuff or other.
And I’m front lay a big bouquet of roses, that she had got from the market nearby sometime ago.
Well now, this wasn’t her fault. Firstly, she wanted her sweet little humble house to look the best, when her hubby comes for the first time. So she was cleaning it. And secondly, how could she even sit there with them, when they were busy giving her scary weird looks. It was better to stay busy and away from their sight. It was five fifty five and Ning Mei had showred again and sat at the couch with them, wearing a new piece of dress looking pretty and patiently waiting for her husband to come.
And in this process, she successfully raised the blood pressure of her friends. They did not know what was wrong, butt they were absolutely not used to this Ning Mei. They just couldn’t get used to the crazy obsession kind of love their friend was experiencing. And knowing her, they could just pray that the man would come out as a good guy, not someone shady.
It was six past ten, Feng Ye looked at her and taunted, " Where is your HUBBY?"
Ning Mei looked at him with her lips pressed together and said, "What? He said he would be here by six that doesn’t mean where will be exactly at six. A person can delay by a few minutes. Situations arrives..."
And just when she was done speaking the door Bell rang. Ning Mei sprang up excitedly and said, " He is here!" And she hurriedly took the big bouquet, went to the door, opened it, and brought the huge bouquet to her face and said, "Welcome to my home, hubby!"
Silence.
Silence for a moment more.
Silence for some moments more.
Then a cough was heard, and a male voice said, "Excuse me, Ma’am?"
Ning Mei blinked her eyes in surprise and thought, "That’s not my baby’s voice. Who is he?" Removing the flowers from the front hlof her face, she saw some another man, wearing a formal. And behind him, some more few men stood with something in their hands.
Ning Mei put down the bouquet, a little embarresed. Then she said, "I am sorry. I took you for someone else. How can I help you?"
The man gave a smile and said, "I understand, ma’am. And here are some orders for you. Please. "
Though Ning Mei was little suspicious, she saw the Flujiu’s logo in the man’s tuxedo. She said, But I haven’t ordered anything. "
"You will know everything in just a minute, ma’am." Ning Mei moved aside and allowed the group to enter, along with their beautiful decorated stuffs. She could see, some where gift wrapped beautifully and others were literally food from Flujiu’s!!
They put the things properly and left, the man who stood at the front bowed at her and said, "Have a good day, Ma’am."
Ning Mei was about to ask him about those things, when she saw her darling figure standing at the door. The man then bowed to him and said, " Have a good day, Sir." Gu Yeze nodded and he left. Ning Mei rushed out of the door and hugged him with the flowers in her hand. Gu Yeze hugged her back and rubbed her back, "Was it romantic enough like those Main Lead CEOs in your novels and drama?"
Ning Mei grinned and said, "Better than those! You are the best."
