It was only a single word but Ning Mei’s insides were running at an impossible rate like crazy. ’ Ah! Ah! Ah! he replied!!!!’
Ning Mei couldn’t explain how happy she was. She but her lips wandering whether she should continue the conversation or not? But what if he is busy? Or if he thinks that she is too clingy?
After almost having a bloody battle with her brain, she finally decided to texted him once again.

This time Ning Mei waited for a while, but no reply came back. And she didn’t feel disappointed either. Because she knew that I man like him must not have any thing else to say. No problem... I she would teach him everything slowly.
Thinking that, she remembered the first time she met him. And how her heart was captured by him in the first sight itself... Recalling all those memories, Ning Mei also remembered how her Grandpa and Jiming Ge supported her.
And that was one thing that always peirced her heart. Her phone was still in hands, and she opened a text box in WeChat. It was her brother’s. Since the day she left China, Elder Ning didn’t contact her even once.
And she knew she had hurt him very much. He didn’t want her to go. But at the same time Ning Mei also knew this that, Elder Ning didn’t try to contact her because though he doesn’t say anything he wants to support her decision. She knew he still loves him, but is just upset over her.
These years, she also reduced her contact with Ning Jiming. She would call once or twice a month. When she went to America at the start, he would come to visit her every month, but then she asked him to stop coming.
Because she was helpless in front of their care for her. Everytime, she talked to them, they would be so sweet that her she just felt of crying. Everytime, Ning Jiming asked her about her health or how she was doing, she would be filled with guilt that she came to America, despite their wish and hurted.
And this would make her want to leave everything else and go running back to them. And this is the reason she reduced the contact between them. She would answer the messages sometimes and would not sometimes when she couldn’t answer any questions.
Especially, when a text would come asking if she is doing good and not facing any problems, while in real, she was hurt and in pain. At those time, she would just ignore it, as her heart ached more.
Ning Mei glanced at her phone screen. The last text was like this,
[Grandpa’s 73rd birthday is coming closer]
[You should now try to come at any cost! Your studies should be over by now!]
[And when you come, remember to bring back a lot of gifts for the old, handsome man!! He is upset with you...! ]
Ning Mei looked at the messages and chucked. She could bet on her life that the last two messages was sent by Elder Ning himself.
She knew that Elder Ning would send her messages asking about her welfare from Ning Jiming’s number. After all, he could not mask his love behind his anger in front of her.
And Ning Mei too missed them a lot. Not that stinky family ofcourse. Only her Grandpa and Ge.
