Bai Suihe didn’t want to intervene, "The two families are no longer connected..."

Besides, he didn’t want issues from the Gu Family affecting their mood. Since they were leaving, they might as well do so earlier.
Bai Suihe looked somewhat reluctantly at the small courtyard, which in a real sense was her first home, "It’s a shame we didn’t stay long."

They had recently changed their names, as Bai Suihe wasn’t good at naming. This task was handed to Nanny Pang.
Nanny Pang knew that the lady intended to study medicine, so she named them after medicinal herbs. Wu Xiaocui became Wu Zisu, and Song PanDi was now Song Furong, taking the places of Chun Mei and Dong Mei.
As for the people Mrs. Bai had sent earlier, Gu Kaiyuan brought along Li Dazhuang’s family, while the rest remained. When spring came, the local land needed planting, and nearby mountains were to be planted with fruit trees and tea.
After a busy night, they rose early the next morning. After Bai Suihe awoke, ate a simple breakfast, and the group headed to the county.
Since they traveled frequently, people from Tian Village didn’t take notice, assuming the family was out for yet another county trip and returned to their tasks with a tinge of envy.
