Chapter 3004: Thalorien’s Dark Past

Chapter 3004: Thalorien’s Dark Past

Date: Unspecified

Time: Unspecified

Location: Myriad Realms, Dark Realm, Gelid Alps, Snow Elven Region, Frosell District, Frosnow City

There was a very specific reason why my clone was able to effortlessly evade every single diagnostic ability, tool, method, and scanning array the Prince and his proxies threw at it.

By utilizing the Myriad Devil Transformation, my clone hadn’t just disguised its physical appearance—it had anchored its entire existence inside the spiritual channel of the Prince’s clone. To be entirely accurate, it was sitting precisely at the spiritual plane end of those clones’ spiritual channels. It existed in the liminal, microscopic friction point right between the physical and spiritual planes.

Because of this unique dimensional positioning, the Crown Prince’s search was fundamentally flawed from the start. Even if his paranoia had been completely correct, and he had realized with absolute certainty that the intruder was hiding inside his own clones, he still would have failed to find it.

His sensors were looking at the vessels, while my clone was hiding in the part of the spiritual channel connecting their physical forms to the spiritual plane. This was only possible because of our dual existence that allowed us to live in both the physical and spiritual plane.

Following my command, my clone didn’t just rush out blindly. It systematically produced multiple Calamity Daughter Gems and expertly seeded them directly into the spiritual channels of the Crown Prince’s proxies. Only after the preparations were perfectly done did my clone step fully into the physical plane before the original Crown Prince.

Materializing in the flesh, wearing an outfit and a dark mask identical to mine, my clone stood right in the center of the laboratory. It locked eyes with the true, original Crown Prince and began exposing his deeply buried, dark history that Sansa had uncovered while combing through his memories.

"We know what happened when you tried to conquer the Winter Valley using your bloodline’s Snowomb ability—"

Hearing those words, the already terrified original Crown Prince’s face twisted into a horrifying mix of absolute terror and unbridled rage. He didn’t let my clone finish. With a manic roar, he unleashed his strongest, most destructive attack, instantly reducing my clone into a harmless pile of mundane snow.

But it was already too late. My clone’s consciousness had seamlessly fled the physical body, riding the spiritual plane and spirtual network back to the nearest Calamity Daughter Gem it had planted. A fraction of a second later, it materialized from thin air right in front of him again, completely unscathed, and continued exactly where it left off:

"We know why the genius Crown Prince of the Snow Elven Empire is hiding in a Heathen Stone lab under a Heathen Stone prison—"

Once again, the Crown Prince was visibly horrified to his very soul. But the sheer humiliation and fury of having his darkest, most carefully guarded secrets dug up and thrown in his face overcame his shock in a violent rush. He lashed out with maximum speed, obliterating my clone a second time, reducing it to another pile of melting snow.

Yet, like an inescapable nightmare, my clone materialized a third time, stepping out of the void right behind him. The voice remained perfectly steady, entirely unfazed by the successive deaths:

"We know that your clones cannot use your bloodline’s Snowomb ability. Only you can use it."

This time, the Crown Prince didn’t explode in a manic fit of rage. Instead, an absolute, terrifying calm washed over his features—the cold, dead focus of a ruler who realized he was being systematically dismantled. He turned and executed my clone a third time, turning it to snow.

But my clone didn’t bother showing itself in front of his face again. Instead, it pulled the trigger on the remaining calamity daughter gems it had laid some of the clones. All at once, the Calamity Daughter Gems detonated from the inside out.

In a single, coordinated heartbeat, hundreds of Crown Prince’s clones inside the Heathen Stone Lab explode, wiping out a third of the buzzing workforce and taking down his underground Heathen Stone lab with them. It was still unclear what happened to the remaining Clones and the Crown Prince himself.

While my clone terrified the Snow Elven Crown Prince destroying his lab, I was a little distracted examining the corpse of the clone I just killed in Frosnow City.

There was a reason I stored the corpse of the clone, it was not because I wanted to use it as a medium to curse the Crown Prince like he assumed, but because there was something remarkably special about this particular clone compared to the very first clone I fought on the border.

This one’s fundamental essence was heavily laced with the virulent strain similar to that of a unique frost rule based plague created by this world, Glacier Plague.

I believed that the Crown Prince hadn’t gestated this proxy using standard snow. He had produced this one using the pristine, virulent snow harvested from the Winter Valley.

A brief report from Sansa through Hive Spirit immediately confirmed my assumptions. Slipping deeper into the memories of the original, she knew things about the Crown Prince that even he had forgotten about himself. In her report, she further went on to let me know that the Crown Prince could actually create a massive variety of specialized clones using different types of rule or curse based snow throughout the myriad realms.

However, there was a massive catch to this advanced application of Snowomb: these specialized rule or curse based snow variants had a physique that was very different from the original, they could hardly be considered as snow elves, so they couldn’t be led to believe they were original in hopes of using them like they did with regular clones.

As result, the brilliant, self-improving cultivation loophole Thalorien prided himself on only worked with proxies born from entirely standard, regular snow. As only those standard vessels possessed the physique identical to the true, living Crown Prince.

This meant the clown I had just stuffed into my dimensional storage was more than a clone, it was a weapon, a pure, bio-engineered asset designed specifically for high-intensity, localized destruction through glacier fever.

For me, it was unique research and study material into the glacier fever and how I can further help Froslings wield it without much requirements and burden, helping me further improve the Frosilk core forging technique. The fact that the Frosling were immune to glacier fever didn’t make them ideal to wield and weaponize it. This corpse of the snow elf born from a glacier fever snow would help me a lot.
