Chapter 4433 - A Leap of Faith!
Chapter 4433 - A Leap of Faith!
Imperator Jian was both the spiritual pillar of the violetblitzians and the longtime number one enemy of the firemaples Li Yanfeng belonged to.
Could it be that Li Tianzi wanted to challenge Imperator Jian?
“Brother, why do you ask?” Tianming couldn’t help but ask.
“If Imperator Feng agrees, then leave Imperator Jian to me.” Li Tianzi’s eyes burned with fighting spirit, his expression resolute. “If you suppress Lin Xiaoting, when the critical moment comes, Imperator Tu, Imperator Ji, and Imperator Jian will definitely intervene. Your elder brother shall clear the way for you. If I can behead Imperator Jian, this operation will count as a success!”
Tianming was shaken. Although all the fights were at the imperator-level, each battlefield had different objectives. Imperator Tu and Imperator Ji only needed to be held back, but Imperator Jian had to be killed.
Otherwise, this battle could not be won.
Even if Lin Xiaoting is killed, as long as Imperator Jian lives, Imperator Feng’s attempt to seize Violetblitz Capital would be nearly impossible. Tianming thought to himself.
Stopping an imperator and killing an imperator were completely different concepts!
In comparison, even having Imperator Feng face Imperator Jian might be easier. After all, Li Tianzi was still lower in level than Imperator Jian.
“Are you confident?” Tianming asked gravely.
“Isn’t it boring to only do things you’re sure of?” Li Tianzi laughed heartily. “Sometimes, you need to take a leap of faith! Imperator Feng and Imperator Jian are old rivals. They’ll just stalemate each other, and the overall situation will turn against us.”
Tianming felt deeply moved. He knew his brother’s offer would absolutely require staking his life.
Holding back the Imperator Tu or Imperator Ji would certainly be easier on him. Of course, that didn’t mean Imperator Feng and Zi Zhen would have an easy time, just that the pressure on them wouldn’t be as overwhelming as on Li Tianzi.
This gave Tianming an entirely new understanding of the man before him. Even Zi Zhen, who had only just arrived in the Realm of Chaos, looked at Li Tianzi with newfound respect.
“Let’s go.” Li Tianzi turned back and smiled, patting Tianming on the shoulder. “When Imperator Feng arrives, it’ll be up to you to persuade him.”
“Why me?” Tianming asked, surprised. He had assumed Li Muyang would handle it.
“Because you’re the hope we’ve waited a hundred thousand years for.” Li Tianzi smiled. “You shattered the status quo and to many, you’re the hope for breaking the deadlock. Naturally, they place greater expectations on you.”
“I understand.” Tianming nodded.
He followed Li Tianzi, bringing Zi Zhen and Mu Qingqing, and waited outside the Plunderlord Palace.
Before long, endless streams of fiery magma flowed in, the flames curling off it forming maple-leaf shapes.
Imperator Feng, Li Yanfeng, had made his grand entrance!
The scorching flames drew inward, coalescing into a man. Maple leaves danced around him, making him appear wise and elegant.
But Tianming knew that beneath that exterior, Imperator Feng burned with ambition as hot as the flames he wielded. Otherwise, he would never have slain the former imperator of the violetblitzians and led the firemaples to rise.
Imperator Feng landed, wearing a faint smile.
“Little Imperial Son, you did not disappoint us.” Li Yanfeng’s eyes shone as he looked at Tianming. “In such a short time, you can already fight an eighth-level primocosmic god. This talent shakes the ages!”
“Uncle Feng flatters me.” Tianming smiled modestly.
In truth, he still felt a strange dissonance as the man before him was far too similar to Li Yanfeng from the Vermilion Bird Kingdom in his memories.
“In fact, Tianming has since made another breakthrough,” Li Tianzi added with a meaningful smile.
“Oh?” Imperator Feng’s gaze sharpened, and even more delight appeared in his eyes as he looked at Tianming. Didn’t another breakthrough mean he could now face a ninth-level primocosmic god?
“Truly a miracle child,” Imperator Feng sighed. “He caught up to Lin Xiaoting in a scant few decades.”
He still clearly remembered that day when Lin Xiaoting had been so glorious in Skyplunder Capital. He had even set a thousand-year pact with Tianming.
“That kid believed a thousand years was short and that you could never catch up,” Imperator Feng said, looking deeply at Tianming. “But that kid is probably about to despair. If you were really given a thousand years, what place would Lin Xiaoting have left in this Realm of Chaos?”
“Uncle Feng has a good eye.” Tianming said shyly. “If you keep praising me, I’ll start getting a big head.”
“Like you aren’t already?” Ying Huo suddenly piped up.
Everyone laughed.
Soon, they all entered the Plunderlord Palace.
Imperator Feng’s expression suddenly turned serious. He was aware he wasn’t here for idle chatter over tea. There had to be something important.
“Tianming, after your breakthrough, it seems you have new ideas?” His deep gaze fell on Tianming.
“Correct.” Tianming nodded.
He went straight to the point and laid out the plan.
He looked at Imperator Feng. “Now that the so-called Adjudicator has descended, the Realm of Chaos is like a pot slowly heating a frog. We sky plunderers, you, and the firemaples are all in it. Once it boils, we’ve lost our chance to change things. Before that happens, we save ourselves.” Tianming spoke with firm conviction.
He also understood that in this matter, Imperator Feng faced even greater risks than Nullity. Complete honesty was the only way to win him over.
