Tianming had the feeling when they first met that she was somewhat familiar. He thought that it was because of the butterfly mask, but it turned out to be the lewd aura that she couldn't quite hide that gave her away. I've always thought that the wondersky fairy was weird. Who knew she was someone with such high status?

He was fully convinced of her identity. Back then, he had only just finished the Violetglorian war. Who knew that the second-most elite wonderian would start paying attention to him? They were on far too different levels! Seeing her pitiful look, he couldn't help but recall the time when he accidentally looked up when the wondersky fairy floated right above his head. Those sneaky wonderians...

With Zi Zhen by his side, he wasn't worried about her making any odd moves. "So, you want to defect? Why would you? You're the second top dog among all wonderians."

"It's all your fault!" The wondersky fairy pouted and gave him a troubled look.

"My fault?"

"Of course. If you hadn't raised Tian Jiu back up, the wonderians wouldn't have ended up in such a state..." She kept up her pitiful act. "My people are experiencing a great crisis. I don't wish to be absorbed by Tian Jiu and become a part of her, so I decided to submit to you, Master."

"Ptooey. Don't you wonderians claim to be number one in the whole universe? And you're their second-in-command! How can a mere Tian Jiu reduce you to this state?"

"Master, you aren't a wonderian, so you don't understand how terrifying Tian Jiu is." She sighed, her eyes seemingly frowning in an enchanting manner. "The mainstream opinion among us now is to eliminate Tian Jiu. However, the wild masses don't understand this simple fact. Tian Jiu is the eternal destiny of wonderians. Once she appears, none of us will be able to escape.

"All of that resistance is simply futile. No matter how stubborn we are, we won't be able to stop Tian Jiu's rise. It's only a matter of time before we all rejoin our ancient ancestor. However, I know that you can save your humble servant, Master. That's why I came to serve you. Please take me in!"

The fear in her eyes was genuine, though Tianming wouldn't trust her that easily. "It's getting interesting. How are you so sure that I can save you?"

"Because I've been paying attention to you for a long time, Master!" She blushed in a tempting manner. "That's why, I know your strengths... as well as your weaknesses..."

"Shut up and speak like a real person," Tianming expressionlessly said. He already had enough of the wondersky fairy's ridiculous act in the wondersky realm. He didn't think that she would play that role faithfully in person too.

"Ohhh... Your servant understands." She smiled and gave Zi Zhen a glance.

"I don't think you do. If you don't get to the point, I'll keep fighting."

"Master, you're wild... But I like that," she said, blushing again.

"Welp." Tianming raised the Grand-Orient Sword.

Only then did the wondersky fairy blush and say, "When Master was still at the Lower Star Ruins, you entered a wondersky realm before. I am able to control the whole Perpetual Wondersky Formation, so I was able to see your uniqueness right away. That's why I came personally. I want to learn more about you, Master."

"And then?" Tianming held still.

"But then Master improved so quickly that you stopped coming to the wondersky realm to spend time with me... You went all the way to the Upper Star Ruin." She wiped a tear in a pitiful motion.

Yet, Tianming wasn't moved in the slightest by her performance.

She blinked and continued, "It was only after the incident at the Ancient Flameyellow Ruins that your humble servant recognized you to be the same genius I ran into in the Lower Star Ruins! Even though Tian Jiu is terrifying, I feel like you have more secrets than she does, Master! Not to mention, you have a unique relationship with her. If I defect to your side, you can save me, right?"

"In your dreams. It's one thing for you to spy on me since my days in the Lower Star Ruins. But then, you snuck here and went straight for the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb. How should I trust you?" There was no reason for him to trust her words.

He turned back to look at Zi Zhen, who understood what to do. She humphed and approached with her fists clenched, having been pissed by the Perpetual Wonderqueen for quite a while. How dare she flirt and try to seduce her man?! She was ready to activate her ninehall eyes at any time should the wonderian show any sign of resisting.

"Will you surrender and be captured or fight and be killed here? Choose," Tianming said coldly, killing intent seething from his sword.

"Master, waaaah!" She broke into tears and slumped to the ground without resisting. She knelt before Tianming and pleaded, "I came here with a demonstration of my loyalty! I'm truly sincere in my defection! I've brought you a huge secret of the wonderians!"

"Oh?" That did pique his interest. Something that the Perpetual Wonderqueen would consider a huge secret had to be important. Though the wonderians were curbed by Tian Jiu so far, they were still the strongest faction among the Eightpart Pantheons. They were the most terrifying foes Tianming and the flameyellow divinities had to face. If their second-top dog truly wishes to defect to our side, I'd have an easier time dealing with the wonderians in the future.

The second-in-command must have some kind of opinionated conflict to resort to defecting, so Tianming had to verify her claims. "If you brought along a secret, you should've said it earlier! Stop wasting time and show us what you got."

"It's about the Lower Star Ruins' wondersky realms. In other words, the Perpetual Wondersky Formation! In fact, the wondersky realms down there are part of a huge trap by the wonderians!"

Tianming's eyes narrowed when he heard that. He had a feeling long ago that there was something off about the wondersky realms, such as the Skydome Battlefield. Clearing the trials there left some kind of odd imprint on his caelum's spine, but he knew little to nothing about it. "Seems like you know quite a lot as the controller of the Perpetual Wondersky Formation. Tell me more."

Zi Zhen resisted the urge to punch her when she heard what was being said. Perhaps this situation would prove useful to them after all.
