Chapter 3380 - Yumo Hongyi

It felt incredibly vexing! Tianming grit his teeth and asked, "Who was the one that claimed the baleflame? Is it someone powerful?"

Yin Chen said, "A major... pathkeeper from... House Yumo."

Hearing that, Tianming's eyes burst with killing intent. "Who is it?"

"Yumo Hongyi," Yin Chen said.

"I know her!" Given that she was a major pathkeeper, like Suishen Yuan, she was no doubt a core member of House Yumo. Her parents were both minor-zenith foundationeers and were equivalent to Suishen Cang and Suishen Ling in terms of status. In other words, Yumo Hongyi was akin to Suishen Yuan in status. She was even slightly stronger, considering the fact that she was a hundred years his senior.

"She's a fifth-level foundationeer, right? So she's already a reverend," Tianming said, finding her vaguely familiar.

"I think... that's it!"

"And she took the Yin-Yang Baleflame already, right?"

"Yes she... stashed it... away already."

"I bet she's really happy."

"Of course! She's absolutely... elated, to... the point... of looking... rather insane."

"Is she heading toward the Lumistar Formation?"

"Not yet."

Tianming's gaze turned cold. "Yin-Yang Baleflame isn't as easy to absorb as springwater. One might go insane by attempting to use it in the Yin-Yang World. The fact that she hasn't left yet means she wants to continue trying her luck here, right?"

It was to be expected. She believed that nobody knew she had that amount of treasure with her. Tianming himself had six kegs of baleflame, but that didn't make him want to leave any sooner.

"Are you going to steal it?" Ying Huo asked.

"She's a level stronger than Suishen Yuan, and I had to push myself to the limits to hold my own against him. However, I'll have more chances as long as she's still around. Yin Chen, try to see if you can follow her," Tianming said.

"Got it."

It was harder to keep track of someone in the Yin-Yang World. Fortunately, Yin Chen had more than enough bodies for the job. Even if some were lost to the storm, Yumo Hongyi might run into them again the next time.

"Release another three hundred billion then." Tianming had gathered nine hundred billion Yin Chens, only to send out five hundred billion of them in the Yin-Yang World. Most of them would be irrecoverable and ground up to dust by the yin-yang essence storm. Essentially, they were like consumable goods.

He made sure to keep some with him in case he ran into unique situations. The extra three hundred billion he had released would help him navigate much better in the Yin-Yang World regardless.

"Guide me to her first, so I can watch for opportunities." Tianming had nothing better to do anyway while Yin Chen looked around for more tufts of Yin-Yang Baleflame. He managed to catch up to Yumo Hongyi after a good part of the day.

Amidst the dense black yin-yang essence storm was a figure in red. Unlike other members of House Yumo, she appeared incredibly lively. Despite her young age, she was incredibly seductive, appearing much more lascivious than the cool-beauty appeal of Lan Yun. Not to mention, she was a top-class specter that pulsed with physical power, which only added to the impact of her wild charm.

Having claimed five kegs of Yin-Yang Baleflame, she appeared to be in a rather good mood and was humming a happy tune. Naturally, she wouldn't be telling anyone about her great haul just yet.

Tianming followed her from a distance, closing his eyes to feel her out. "The starblood in her body is much denser than Yumo Xue's...."

His eyes turned even colder. Having witnessed the tragic suffering of Viridian, experiencing it for himself through resonance with those baleful souls, his killing intent would always soar any time he detected starblood’s dreadful aura. He glared at her as she seductively swayed around like a water snake.

"Who could possibly think that a body that's like a work of art would actually be a prison that’s trapped billions of souls within it, continually making them suffer?" Tianming didn't find her tempting in the very least; all he felt was rage and disgust.

"Specters of House Yumo are powerful fighters, and can easily slip away, too. Even though she's a fifth-level foundationeer, she probably wouldn't have a hard time defeating a sixth-level foundationeer like Chen Tianyong. I have less than a ten percent chance of winning if I engage her now. Killing her would be really hard." As angry as he was, he still had to be realistic about it.

"Even though I'm finally among the elites of Myriadpath Valley, I'm still at the very bottom. If I was as powerful here as I am in Infinitum, I wouldn't even have to resort to stalking. I could just kill her."

Thanks to the mask, Tianming didn't have to worry about being found out. It was the best chance to get rid of members of House Yumo, yet he simply wasn't powerful enough to do so.

"I can't rush it." He kept trailing Yumo Hongyi as he tried to think of anything he could do. It was rather hilarious seeing her act while she thought she was alone; she bombastically walked as if she were walking down a red carpet, much to Tianming's chagrin. All the while, the baleful souls trapped within her howled in fear from the yin-yang essence storm.

A few days later, Yin Chen spotted Eminent Jiguang near the Lumistar Formation, about to return to Myriadpath Valley.

"Is she alone?" Tianming asked.

"She is," Yin Chen said.

After some thought, Tianming said, "She'll definitely look for me once she gets back. If she finds out I'm not there, she'll definitely worry."

He still didn't want to let her know that he had come to the Yin-Yang World, so he thought of an idea. "I’ve got five kegs of springwater saved up over the last five years on top of the six kegs of Yin-Yang Baleflame. I had four million merit points left over back then, and in the past five years I've gotten another five million. That makes nine million in total. Perhaps I'll be able to trade for a grade-eight order fragment this way, and that might be just what I need to reach the twelfth level and manifest my final cosmic chart. Then I should be able to take on Yumo Hongyi!"

He immediately made up his mind. Since trailing Yumo Hongyi hadn’t revealed any opportunities he could take advantage of, he might as well give up on it for now, then hunt her down some other time.

"Even if she uses up the baleflame, I'll still have to kill her." Tianming needed Eminent Jiguang to help him get more order fragments. Fortunately, she was just about to return to Myriadpath Valley. As such, Tianming made his way to the Lumistar Formation as quickly as he could.

Eminent Jiguang didn't seem to be in a rush, so Tianming managed to reach the formation before her and removed his mask when nobody was around. Even if Eminent Jiguang saw him there, he could just tell her that he had come in to take a look at the Yin-Yang World. If he managed to make it to the Myriadpath Celestial Formation before her, nobody would know where he had traveled there from.

It didn't take long before he made it back to Myriadpath Valley.
