Qin Jiao smiled faintly, said goodbye to her sister, and turned to leave.

Since she was at home, Xiao Shi’s hair was down. She used to prefer short hair, but it had grown out recently and she hadn’t gotten around to trimming it.

Xiao Shi let out an "Oh," then looked at Gu Xu. "Do you want to come in and sit for a bit?"
She sounded very detached.
Gu Xu knew this girl was cold and aloof with just about everyone. They’d known each other for three years, and she was still just as distant with him.
But she wasn’t like that with her family.
This young woman would do anything for them, even going out of her way to learn all sorts of things just to protect them.
She’d even chosen to major in finance just so she could make money to support her family in the future.
The reason she’d started learning Sanda from him in the first place was that her sister had been kidnapped and nearly harmed.
