Felix Lawrence’s heart tightened.

’It’s very likely Miss Sterling changed her appearance to escape their notice and blend in with the crowd. I can’t expose her.’

So, the words that came to his lips were: "I just didn’t expect to see you here. It’s such a surprise, and a pleasant one at that!"

He was genuinely happy. Miss Sterling had been missing for over a day, and the ones causing trouble for her were from Sanctyr Base. He had been worried sick.

Miss Sterling was incredibly capable, but this was Sanctyr Base’s territory after all. The people after her were from Sanctyr Base, so how could he not be worried?

Besides, Miss Sterling’s subordinates hadn’t arrived yet. If she had to face Sanctyr Base all by herself, it would probably be very dangerous.

Even though Miss Sterling said she had her own methods, he couldn’t help but feel a little worried.

He had come today hoping to ask around for news and see if any information had come out of Sanctyr Base.

But from the looks of it now, Miss Sterling seemed to be safe for the time being.

The people from Sanctyr Base hadn’t managed to capture her.

And what’s more, Miss Sterling had changed her appearance and was showing up openly, right under the noses of Sanctyr Base’s informants.

Thinking of this, he was filled with admiration. ’Miss Sterling really is amazing. Even the people from Sanctyr Base can’t do anything to her. And her courage is simply astounding.’

’If it were me, I wouldn’t dare. At the very least, my mindset isn’t as solid as Miss Sterling’s.’

Hearing Felix Lawrence say this, Stella Sterling knew he must have understood the situation. A slight smile touched her face. "Yes, it is a bit of a surprise."

Felix Lawrence smiled as well.

Stella Sterling said to him, "I’m glad we could meet again. But it looks like we’re both busy with our own things right now, so let’s leave it at that. I’ll find you later to catch up."

Felix Lawrence nodded. "Alright."

He knew Miss Sterling didn’t want to meet him as her true self not only to avoid the notice of the people from Sanctyr Base, but also to avoid dragging him into her troubles.

And he couldn’t hold Miss Sterling back. So, he nodded and walked back toward Mutt and the others.

Seeing that Miss Sterling really did know the man and that they had only exchanged a few words without any trouble, the members of the Three Tigers Corps let out a huge sigh of relief.

"Miss Sterling, let’s go!"

Hunter Night came over and said to Stella Sterling. By now, they had already loaded their share of the supplies into several vehicles.

Stella Sterling nodded, then got into their vehicle with Zane Xavier.

The back of their vehicle was now filled with the batch of supplies they had just acquired.

As for the things Stella Sterling had previously placed in the vehicle as a cover, they had vanished.

’I already put those things into my space. When Zane went back to get the car, he must have seen it was empty.’

At this thought, she glanced at Zane Xavier beside her.

But Zane Xavier just kept his eyes on the road, driving calmly, not asking a single question.

They drove away. As they passed one of the other groups, Stella Sterling’s gaze paused for a moment, and she looked outside.

Her eyes locked onto the tall, thin man. She had overheard others refer to him as Ronan Rhodes.

Right now, this man named Ronan Rhodes was sizing up Felix Lawrence and his group.

She retracted her gaze.

Looking at Zane Xavier beside her, she asked, "Did you notice anything when you went back to get the car earlier?"

Zane Xavier was taken aback for a second before replying, "When I went to get the car, I was planning to move our things around a bit. But I found that everything in the car was gone. At first, I thought the members of the other corps had pulled something while we were away, but then I realized the vehicle hadn’t been touched. After thinking about it, I figured you must have put the things somewhere else, Miss Sterling."

Zane Xavier said with a smile. The reason he had gone back with the men from the Three Tigers Corps to get the car was that he was afraid they might tamper with the things inside.

But unexpectedly, when he got back, he found the vehicle completely empty—a stark contrast to how it had been piled high with supplies before.

He had jumped in fright and was about to go settle accounts with the members of the Three Tigers Corps.

But he quickly realized the vehicle hadn’t been touched at all. The men from the Three Tigers Corps couldn’t have even gotten in. That being the case, they couldn’t have been the ones who took the items.

Thinking about how Miss Sterling had disappeared for so long yesterday, he immediately figured she probably didn’t feel safe leaving all the supplies here and had found another place to hide them.

’No wonder Miss Sterling was so confident leaving their things with the Three Tigers Corps. It turns out she had already made plans.’

Hearing this, Stella Sterling smiled. She knew he was overthinking it, but she didn’t explain further, just went along with his assumption. "That’s right. I did indeed hide the items."

’But they were all stored in her personal space. No one but her could ever find them.’

Zane Xavier nodded and didn’t ask where the items were.

Although Miss Sterling seemed easy to get along with, he knew his place. ’If I’m supposed to know something, Miss Sterling will naturally let me know. It’s better not to ask what I shouldn’t.’

Stella Sterling looked ahead and casually took a banana out of her space, then began to eat it.

Zane Xavier smiled and said, "It’s been a long, tiring day. You should eat something to tide you over, Miss Sterling. After all, a portion of these supplies is ours."

"Our... uh... wait a minute..."

Zane Xavier stopped mid-sentence, his head snapping toward the banana in Stella’s hand.

’Where did Miss Sterling get a banana?’

He clearly remembered that the supplies from that little convenience store didn’t include any fruit. Even if they did, after several years, any fruit would have long since rotted away.

’Where did such a fresh, big banana come from?!’

’Plus, Miss Sterling has been sitting right next to me and hasn’t reached back to rummage for anything. It was like it just appeared out of thin air!’

Stella Sterling turned to look at him. "Want one? I have more!"

As she spoke, another banana appeared in her hand, and she offered it to him.

The sudden scene made Zane Xavier’s eyes go wide with astonishment. He slammed on the brakes, causing both of them to lurch forward.

But he paid that no mind, looking at Stella Sterling in shock. "Miss Sterling, what’s going on? That thing you just did..."

’I must be seeing things. Otherwise, how could I be hallucinating in broad daylight?’
