Zane Xavier’s mouth twitched. ’It’s not like I actually want to submit to her,’ he thought. ’She threatened my life, leaving me no other choice.’
’I was forced to turn traitor. How could I possibly be happy about this?’
And yet, he had to force a smile as he spoke. "Of course, I’m happy, Miss Sterling. From now on, you are my one and only master."
Stella Sterling nodded, and another pill appeared in her hand. "In that case, your new master is telling you to eat this. You don’t have a problem with that, do you?"

Stella Sterling smiled at him and shook her head firmly. "You can’t."
"Alright."
Zane Xavier sighed in resignation. Then, without any hesitation, he took the pill from Stella Sterling’s hand and swallowed it in one gulp.
’It’s like they say: discretion is the better part of valor. I have no choice right now. I’ve already been forced to accept her as my master. Even though I can’t stand it, I can’t change the outcome. Since that’s the case, I might as well be obedient.’
’Besides, she seems to be after my skills, which means I’m still useful to her. She won’t just kill me.’
Seeing him take the pill, Stella Sterling broke into a satisfied smile.
Just then, Zane Xavier’s eyes fell upon a notebook Stella Sterling had casually placed to the side.

He was stunned. ’How does she know all this?!’
Stella Sterling noticed his gaze. "A moment ago, you told me all of that yourself. So, there’s no turning back for you now."
"I told you?!"
Zane Xavier was incredulous. ’Didn’t I just pass out? How could I have said so much while I was unconscious!’
’But there was no reason for her to lie. Besides, if I hadn’t been the one to tell her, how could an outsider possibly know so much about my base?’
’It’s over, it’s all over. I can never go back now!’
