Apocalypse Rebirth: Crazy from Day One

Chapter 369: Not Human, Scared to Death

Chapter 369: Chapter 369: Not Human, Scared to Death

’I really oversimplified things before.’

What happened today had hit him pretty hard.

But he quickly composed himself, looked up at Stella Sterling, and said with a hopeful glint in his eyes, "Miss, do you have a way to deal with these people? These animals... they deserve to die!"

As if that wasn’t enough to vent his anger, he added resentfully, "They should be sent to the eighteenth level of hell! They don’t deserve to live!"

His voice was filled with rage, and even his youthful face twisted with a crazed fury.

His eyes were bloodshot, shimmering with unshed tears.

Before, he hadn’t wanted to get involved in other people’s business, even though he knew those dozen or so people in the abandoned city were in a pitiful state.

He just didn’t want to meddle.

Even when he had agreed to Stella’s plan to take action against these people tonight...

...his mind had been clouded by a rush of righteous passion. With Stella Sterling by his side, he had thought maybe, just maybe, he could give it a try.

But even at that critical moment, he knew he was still being rational, not completely out of control.

’If things really go south,’ he had thought, ’we’ll just drop everything and run.’

’With a woman like Stella Sterling’s abilities, she might not be able to defeat all of them, but she should at least be able to get me out of here.’

But now, he had only one thought.

’I want every last one of those animals in there to die. Not a single one gets away.’

Stella Sterling glanced down at him. "Well, look at you. Quite the crusader against evil, aren’t we?"

Stella Sterling knew why he was acting this way.

Before launching their full-scale assault tonight, the two of them hadn’t just blindly rushed in, guns blazing at the first person they saw.

Instead, they had hidden in the shadows and observed for a while.

And what they discovered were scenes of bloody cruelty.

The things this faction did were far more disgusting than what the dozen or so people from the other city had described.

The people kept in pens, the ones covered in wounds, the women being violated, and even some of the more delicate-looking men hadn’t escaped the clutches of those animals.

Scene after scene unfolded before their eyes.

Andrew Shaw had cursed them as animals, and he wasn’t wrong. Those people truly were animals.

At this thought, Stella Sterling’s gaze turned cold.

Andrew Shaw lowered his head, then looked up again and shook it at Stella Sterling. "I’m no crusader. On the contrary, I’m selfish, I’m scared of dying, and I’m not a good person either."

"But at least I’m still human."

"But those people just now... did you see them, Miss? Did you see? They don’t deserve to be called human. They’re worse than animals."

The more Andrew Shaw spoke, the more agitated he became. However, he was still keenly aware of their situation, so he kept his voice low.

But his face grew more and more contorted, and his eyes looked like they were about to burst with blood.

After a long moment, he finally calmed down from his furious state.

He knew his anger was useless. Once he calmed down, he said evenly, "What I said just now was just a moment of impulse. No matter what, we have to ensure our own safety first. We should only do what’s within our means."

’Stella Sterling is powerful, but taking on that many people... who knows if she can handle it? We can’t just throw our lives away here on a whim.’

Stella Sterling, however, didn’t look at him. Instead, she gazed up at the night sky. "It seems this young lady is destined to accumulate boundless merit today!"

Hearing this baffling statement, Andrew Shaw looked up at her. "Miss, you—"

Stella Sterling smiled and stretched her body. "Don’t forget why this young lady brought you here!"

"This young lady is here to do a good deed today."

Hearing Stella Sterling’s words, Andrew Shaw’s eyes lit up, and his heart began to pound with excitement.

Still, he asked worriedly, "Are you sure you can do it?"

Stella Sterling looked down at him and smiled. It was a gentle smile, yet it sent a chill down the spine.

"Today, I’ll show you something you’ve never seen before. Follow me. Stay behind me."

With that, Stella Sterling walked out of the abandoned house, strolling out brazenly with no intention of concealing their presence.

Andrew Shaw opened his mouth to call out to her. ’Has this woman lost her mind?’

But before he could warn Stella Sterling, they were spotted.

The men had already been searching for them everywhere, so the moment they appeared, someone found them.

"Over there! They’re over there!"

"There are two of them, an adult woman and a kid."

As the shouts rang out, the sound of footsteps began rushing toward them.

Andrew Shaw’s expression changed. He glanced at Stella Sterling ahead of him, sighed, and raised the gun in his hands, preparing for a fight.

But just a short while later, staring at the corpses littering the ground, Andrew Shaw’s jaw dropped wide open.

His eyes were vacant, his body trembled, and his gaze was completely blank.

He couldn’t believe what he had just seen.

’Is this woman even human?’

’That kind of power is completely beyond human capabilities!!!’

She didn’t even need a weapon. She had dealt with all those men with effortless ease.

The scene he had just witnessed replayed in his mind, and Andrew Shaw found it utterly incredible.

’A superpower user, but maybe not a superpower user!’

He couldn’t even find the words to describe her abilities.

But he knew one thing: the woman in front of him was definitely not a normal person. That kind of power was simply not something a normal human could possess.

A few people not far away shared his thoughts.

They had just arrived and were the last few survivors of this faction.

They had clearly seen what had just happened and were now staring at the woman in terror.

When they saw the woman walking toward them, the whites of their eyes showed, and they fainted from fright.

Seeing that she had scared the men into fainting, a flash of displeasure crossed Stella Sterling’s eyes.

Ever since she had started practicing the Human Potential Development Technique and the Space Manipulation Technique, she herself didn’t fully understand her own current abilities.

The people she had encountered before were dealt with so easily that she never had to go all out.

Today was the first time she had truly used these abilities. Forget about everyone else—even she herself was a little surprised by the result.
