"Sh-she... I think she’s coming over." As Liu Fen said this, even she couldn’t understand why her own voice was trembling.
The people in the seats in front of and behind Ma Yu all felt a heavy pressure settling over them.
Before they knew it, their palms were slick with a thin layer of cold sweat.
"Open the door." The cold voice, devoid of any warmth, was like a needle, instantly piercing the minds of everyone on the bus.
It was clear and sharp, as if the speaker wasn’t outside the vehicle, but standing right inside their heads.
The woman driving jumped in fright, and her hand, almost acting on its own, immediately opened the door.
A gust of cold wind mixed with sand and dust poured into the vehicle.
The Earth Ability User sitting by the door quickly raised a hand to block the sand, her gaze falling on Xie Ning as she boarded.
The driver had already stood up from her seat and asked timidly, "C-Captain Xie? Is... is there something you need?"

Xie Ning gave her a cool glance, not making things difficult. "Excuse me, I’m looking for someone."
"Looking for someone?" The female driver looked bewildered, turning to glance at the two rows of seats behind her.
All the female members of Women’s Superpower Team One were like frightened quails, frozen in their seats, barely daring to breathe.
The driver steeled herself and closed the door, shutting out the swirling wind and sand. The Earth Ability User by the door breathed a small sigh of relief and gathered the dirt and sand in her hands.
"Captain Xie, who are you looking for?" the Earth Ability User asked, also standing up.
A polite smile graced the woman’s weathered face.
Xie Ning gave her a slight nod. "It’s fine. I’ll find them myself."
The Earth Ability User and the driver exchanged a look. Just as they were about to step forward to stop her, they felt something blocking their path, preventing them from taking even half a step.
The two of them stared blankly, raising their hands to touch the empty air before them.
An invisible barrier stood before them.
"Captain Xie, what are you doing?" The Earth Ability User didn’t dare try to break the barrier recklessly.
She had a feeling that if she were to break it, this Captain Xie would retaliate.
Besides, she was eighty percent sure she couldn’t break a Sixth-rank Superpower User’s Space Barrier anyway...
Xie Ning walked on, her expression serene as she passed row after row of seats.
"Captain Xie," the driver called out anxiously. "Did one of our teammates offend you? Please forgive them. They’re young and don’t know any better."
As Xie Ning moved down the aisle, the women in both rows of seats all squeezed toward their teammates by the windows in unison.
Teammates in adjacent seats were practically piled on top of each other, pressed against the windows and the bus wall, their wary eyes tracking Xie Ning as her gaze swept lightly over them.
Many of them didn’t even dare to breathe...
Xie Ning saw a younger girl with wide, round eyes staring at her in terror.
She raised an eyebrow, deliberately softened her expression, and nodded at the girl. "Don’t worry, I’m not looking for you."
This made most of the people on the bus even more worried.
The pressure from the Sixth-rank Superpower User washed over them in waves. What on earth was she looking for?
Xie Ning’s steps halted at the fourth-to-last row. Her gaze fell on Liu Fen’s pale little face.
Her gaze slowly shifted back to meet a pair of eyes that held a hint of a smile, yet weren’t quite smiling.
Xie Ning looked at the familiar person and smiled.
Ma Yu, though her palms were now drenched in cold sweat, remained composed and returned a faint smile.
"Fancy meeting an old classmate here."
Hearing her words, everyone couldn’t help but let out a collective sigh of relief.
Some of the younger female members practically collapsed into their seats, panting heavily.
That was insane.
It was a reunion of old classmates, but she had made it seem like mortal enemies meeting. The tense, hostile atmosphere from just now had scared them to death.
Ma Yu’s lips twitched into a stiff smile. "Yeah."
She tried her best to keep her voice steady. "I really didn’t expect us to meet face-to-face so soon."

"No need for the trouble." Xie Ning’s cool gaze landed on Ma Yu, sweeping over her back and forth.
"There’s nothing for us to catch up on."
WHOOSH! The door suddenly flew open, and Qu Lanping rushed onto the bus in one bound. "What’s going on?"
It seemed a teammate had used their linked bracelet to privately contact the captain of Women’s Superpower Team One.
Xie Ning glanced over her shoulder.
The woman with the crew cut had spiky hair and a pair of large, dark-browed eyes, which were now filled with displeasure as she stared daggers at Xie Ning, the troublemaker who had just boarded.
"Captain Xie, a pleasure, a pleasure. Things were rushed at noon, we didn’t get a chance to greet each other. The leadership, too, didn’t even introduce everyone before we set off, hahaha." Qu Lanping walked toward Xie Ning with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.
Unsurprisingly, however, she too was stopped at the first row by the invisible air barrier.
"Captain Xie, what is the meaning of this?" Qu Lanping asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Heh, with your status, there’s no need to come here and make trouble for our teammates, is there?"
Xie Ning turned her head and smiled at her.
But Qu Lanping couldn’t help but shiver inwardly.
The woman’s smile looked chilling. Her eyes held a cold light, and a layer of killing intent seemed to be slowly spreading from them.
’She wants to kill someone??’
Qu Lanping was startled by her own thought, her entire body tensing up uncontrollably.
