Chapter 374: Learned Something
Chapter 374: Chapter 374: Learned Something
Unprovoked provocation...
Feng Lijian took a deep breath.
The one who started the unprovoked provocation had nearly all her hair ripped out. Who could they possibly reason with now?
But the one who started the trouble just had to be his own sister.
Although Song Kexin was the first to get physical, what could he do to her?
If his sister hadn’t been the one to start trouble, Song Kexin’s team would have quietly gone back to rest long ago.
None of this would have happened.
Feng Lijian took another deep breath, turned, and glared at Feng JiaMin. "Apologize to Miss Song and the others."
For a moment, Feng JiaMin thought she was hearing things. Her eyes shot open in disbelief. "Brother, what did you say?"
’Make me apologize?’
’Why should I, Feng JiaMin, have to apologize?’
’I’m the one who got beaten up and had my hair pulled out, okay?’
’Xie Ning’s sister is truly ruthless. She gave me no chance to breathe, just went straight for my hair. I hate her to death!’
’And now my brother wants me to apologize without even figuring out who’s right or wrong? Apologize my ass!’
Feng Lijian was about to die from anger at his own sister.
She did nothing but cause trouble for him day after day. The bit of rapport he had built with Young Master Gu would soon be completely destroyed by this troublemaking sister of his.
"If you hadn’t blocked their way and started something, would any of this have happened?" Feng Lijian scolded. "Now, apologize to Miss Song and her team!"
’Just apologize and get it over with, then we can go do what we need to do. Why is this sister of mine so brainless? She can’t even understand simple words.’
"Brother!" Feng JiaMin glared furiously at her brother. "Why should I apologize? They were the ones who attacked first! See for yourself! Look, look!"
She grabbed a nearby teammate and pulled her in front of her brother, pointing at the comical handprint on the teammate’s face and her own patch of bald scalp. "See how vicious they are!"
Her female teammate wore a deeply aggrieved expression, but inwardly, she was already regretting everything.
’If I had known they fought like their lives depended on it, I wouldn’t have joined in and asked for trouble.’
Feng Lijian glanced at the members of the Women’s Superpower Second Team.
Indeed, they all looked pretty miserable.
But who could they blame?
They could only blame themselves for failing to recognize the reality of the situation and insisting on getting their asses kicked!
Seeing that her brother had no intention of backing them up, Feng JiaMin was furious. She stamped her foot and raged, "In any case, I did nothing wrong! If anyone should be apologizing, it’s them to us."
"Look what they did to us! And we’re supposed to apologize?! There’s no justice in that, no matter how you slice it!" Feng JiaMin huffed and turned to leave.
With a deadpan expression, Song Kexin watched her, then suddenly rushed forward when no one was expecting it, landing a vicious kick right on Feng JiaMin’s ass.
Caught off guard, Feng JiaMin pitched forward, stumbling a few steps and nearly smashing her head into the wall in front of her.
"What are you doing, you crazy bitch!!" Feng JiaMin shrieked as she turned, and two long, sharp golden thorns shot toward Song Kexin’s forehead.
"Feng JiaMin!" Ji Taixian roared, enraged. He waved his hand, and a fully formed Space Blade swiftly sliced through Feng JiaMin’s golden thorns.
The Space Blade cut through the air with shocking speed.
Before Feng JiaMin could even react, she felt a sharp cut on her arm and let out a cry of pain. "AH!"
Everyone turned to see a gash on Feng JiaMin’s arm, blood gushing out.
"Jia Min." Feng Lijian panicked. He rushed to his sister’s side in a few large strides and roared at the people behind him, "Healer? Get a healer over here!"
He turned to glare at Ji Taixian, his face stern. "Tai Xian, wasn’t that a bit too harsh? This is a dispute between girls. What right do you, a man, have to interfere?"
"Feng Lijian, are you blind?" Ji Taixian shot back a cold glare. "Didn’t you see your sister use a killing move first? She was dead set on taking Xinxin’s life. Now that’s what I call harsh."
Feng Lijian pulled his sister behind him and took a deep breath. "This is all a misunderstanding. You all grew up with Jia Min. Most of you know what her temperament is like, don’t you?"
"How could Jia Min possibly try to harm someone? She’s always been straightforward and outspoken. If she has caused any offense, I hope you can be magnanimous and forgive her."
"Listen to you," Ji Taixian said with a mocking smile. "So if we don’t forgive your sister, it means we’re not as ’magnanimous as the sea’? We’re just supposed to swallow this insult and be ’magnanimous’? What if we, the Starfire Team, don’t feel like being magnanimous?"
"You!" Feng Lijian took another deep breath. "My sister was in the wrong here. On her behalf, I apologize to everyone in the Starfire Team."
"Furthermore, I am willing to offer two hundred Second-order Crystal Cores as a gift of apology. Are you satisfied now?"
"Not satisfied," Song Kexin replied bluntly, shaking her head. "What, just because you offer compensation, I have to accept it? Your sister rushed up here, didn’t care who was right or wrong, and started making snide remarks about my sister. Am I not allowed to get angry? Am I not allowed to hit her? What kind of logic is that? One your family made up? Does the Feng family own this base?"
Feng Lijian suppressed his emotions and nodded with a calm expression. "Then please, Miss Song, name your price."
"Five hundred! Third-stage Crystal Cores, non-negotiable. For that price, I can *maybe* forgive your sister, and I can guarantee that word of this won’t reach my sister’s ears."
"Of course, if you let it slip yourselves, you can’t blame us," Song Kexin added, tilting her head. Her gaze swept over them coldly. "How about it?"
"How about my ass, you fucking..." Before Feng JiaMin could finish, Feng Lijian clapped a hand over her mouth and forcibly pushed her behind him.
"I agree to your terms." Feng Lijian nodded, his face cold. He beckoned for someone to bring over a small black leather pouch, from which he took out a bag of Crystal Cores and handed it over.
Standing beside Song Kexin, Li Xiang and the others stared in adoration at Song Kexin... and the bag of Crystal Cores she had just received.
’Holy crap, she just casually made five hundred Third-stage Crystal Cores. As expected of the sister of that black-hearted Xie Ning. It’s true what they say: birds of a feather flock together.’
’I’ve learned so much!’ Li Xiang’s eyes darted around as he exchanged a knowing glance with his big brother.
’Damn, we’ve been too merciful in the past...’
’Look at Xie Ning’s sister. When it’s time to be ruthless, she doesn’t hesitate. And look at the payoff!’
"Satisfied now?" Feng Lijian shot a faint glance at Song Kexin.
"Pleasure doing business." Song Kexin nodded. "Let’s go."
"Wait." Feng Lijian’s sharp gaze shot straight to Ji Taixian. "I have another question for Tai Xian. Are you... a Space Ability User?"
The moves unleashed by Space Ability Users were bizarre; he had never heard of a Space Ability User being able to attack someone out of thin air before.
It seemed only the people from the Starfire Team did things like this.
Other Space Ability Users weren’t as formidable as them.
"What kind of move was that?"
’What kind of move? The kind his Ms. Ning taught him, of course.’
He remembered that a long, long time ago, Ms. Ning had mentioned to him that Space Ability Users weren’t limited to just storing things in their Space.
Space Ability Users, just like Spiritual Ability Users, belonged to the category of special Superpower Users. Their methods of attack could be varied and endless.
