Chapter 1997 - 667: Level 8 Legion, Epic Legion Treasure Box
Chapter 1997: Chapter 667: Level 8 Legion, Epic Legion Treasure Box
After speaking, he headed towards the center of the territory.
Along the way, the survivors who saw Cao Xing greeted him excitedly.
"Hello, Squad Leader!"
"Squad Leader, it’s rare for you to visit the Legion Headquarters!"
"Cao Xing, you’re getting more handsome."
Cao Xing responded to these greetings with a smile and a nod.
Then, a figure in a gray cloak appeared in front of him.
This person’s demeanor was extremely somber, exuding a sense of poison and death, making those who came near him instinctively feel uncomfortable.
This peculiar guy was none other than the Lizardman—Tian Jing.
Upon seeing Cao Xing, Tian Jing swiftly pulled back his cloak, revealing a smile on his scaly face.
However, his smile appeared rather creepy in Cao Xing’s eyes.
"Boss, you’re here!" Tian Jing greeted enthusiastically.
Cao Xing nodded, "I’m here to upgrade the legion’s level."
"You can go about your business; you don’t need to mind me."
"Understood, Boss!"
With that, Tian Jing swiftly left the scene.
Cao Xing then reached the center of the territory and opened the Legion interface, taking a glance.
[Starfire Army]
[Level: Level 6]
[Legion Bonus: All members’ basic attributes +11%, Critical Strike Rate +11%]
[Squad Leader: Cao Xing]
[Vice Commanders: 3/4 (Ji Xinyue, Yao Yiming, Tian Jing)]
[Number of members: 400/400]
[Prosperity: 1328]
...
Cao Xing nodded quietly, "A Level 6 legion, the attribute bonus is still quite decent."
"Looks like I can improve some attributes again today."
Thinking of this, he clicked on the ’+’ sign next to the legion level.
[Would you like to upgrade the Starfire Army to Level 7, requires: Reputation Value 200,000, Fine Iron*500,000, Mithril*60,000, Master-level Element Crystal*5,000, Coins*15,000,000... ]
"Yes."
[Not enough Fine Iron, upgrade failed.]
...
Seeing this prompt, Cao Xing was stunned.
"Damn! Even I’m short on materials."
"The consumption required to upgrade the legion is too outrageous!"
A full 500,000 Fine Iron, which is simply unaffordable for an average territory.
In fact, most of the other legions are currently Level 4, with some top-tier legions reaching Level 5.
A Level 6 legion like his doesn’t exist across all servers.
According to the progress of other survivors, it would be a long time before they can upgrade their legions to Level 6 or 7.
So, this is also a drawback caused by Cao Xing’s rapid development.
However, this problem is easily solved by trading in the ’Market’ with other Lords.
Items like Fine Iron are something that every Lord has reserved in surplus.
"Fortunately, I still have a lot of Lizard Dominator’s Meat remaining in my backpack."
"With such hard currency, I won’t have any trouble exchanging it for these resources."
Thus, Cao Xing quickly headed to the [Market] area and listed a total of 40,000 portions, which is 4,000 pieces of [Fresh Lizard Meat (Orange)].
The bustling trading market of hundreds of thousands of people in the Four Districts was as lively as ever.
Within just a few minutes of listing, these 40,000 portions of Lizard Meat were all snatched up.
In total, he exchanged them for 1,500,000 Fine Iron and 10,000 Master-level Element Crystals.
After completing the transaction, Cao Xing closed the market with a smile on his face.
"Great, now that I’ve gathered these materials, I can continue upgrading the legion level."
After speaking, he once again opened the [Legion] interface and proceeded with the upgrade.
The familiar system prompt appeared.
[Congratulations! Upgrade successful!]
[Your legion has successfully upgraded to Level 7, member capacity +100, attribute and critical strike rate improved from 11%→13%]
...
[Notice! As you are the first Lord in the entire server to upgrade a legion to Level 7, you have received a special reward: Reputation Value*50,000, Random Legion Treasure Box*1]
...
Seeing the last piece of information, Cao Xing was overjoyed, "I almost forgot, the first Lord to upgrade the legion to the highest level also receives a reward."
"Not bad, not bad."
It’s not just Cao Xing; all members of the Starfire Army saw the system prompt.
They were excitedly discussing it in the Legion Channel.
"The Squad Leader upgraded the legion again, awesome!"
"So cool! There isn’t even a Level 5 legion in the Four Districts, and we’re already Level 7, it’s a total landslide victory!"
"Haha, a 13% attribute boost, it’s amazing!"
"..."
Meanwhile, Cao Xing opened the legion interface and proceeded with the second upgrade.
[Would you like to upgrade the Starfire Army to Level 8, requires: Reputation Value 400,000, Fine Iron*1,000,000, Mithril*100,000, Master-level Element Crystal*10,000, Coins*30,000,000... ]
...
"Upgrading to Level 8 requires even more ridiculous materials and requirements..."
The Reputation Value alone needs to reach 400,000. Without the recent world-impacting events done by Cao Xing, even he wouldn’t meet this requirement.
And coins, he would need a full 30,000,000.
He originally didn’t have many Crowns on hand, and upgrading would leave him with nothing.
After pondering for a moment, Cao Xing finally clicked ’Upgrade’.
After all, he could always earn more money; better to grab the benefits first.
[Congratulations! Upgrade successful!]
[Your legion has successfully upgraded to Level 8, member capacity +100, attribute and critical strike rate improved from 13%→15%]
...
[Notice! As you are the first Lord in the entire server to upgrade a legion to Level 8, you receive a special reward: Reputation Value*100,000, Random Legion Treasure Box (Orange)*1]
...
"Oh? This time the reward is even an orange treasure box?"
A hint of anticipation appeared in Cao Xing’s eyes.
However, he did not open it immediately, instead opening the Legion Channel and pulling several vice commanders into a separate chat channel.
