After I Fully Prepared for the Apocalypse, the Ungrateful Cried with Regret

Chapter 574: One Against Two

Chapter 574: Chapter 574: One Against Two

"Yes, I’m here because I have something to discuss with you."

Nina introduced Yvonne.

When Mason heard the purpose of Nina’s visit, he was both shocked and pleasantly surprised. She actually wanted his help to sell supplies?!

"You can take a five percent commission on everything you sell. You won’t need to source the goods yourself during this time; you can just get them directly from Yvonne. How does that sound?" Nina asked.

Yvonne’s space held a lot of things from the basement that they no longer needed. Moreover, she wanted to see if doing business in the trading market had any prospects.

"Of course! I’d love to!"

Mason instinctively felt this was a rare opportunity. After all, not everyone had the chance to do business with Stella. A five percent commission was truly a generous amount.

Mason himself was also a Space Superpower User, but the contents of his space were pitifully sparse. Right now, all he had left was some garbage no one wanted. He immediately brought the two of them to his residence.

Following Nina’s instructions, Yvonne first took out a small portion of the supplies. This included some food that was about to expire or had already expired, such as the dehydrated rice and freeze-dried porridge blocks they had found earlier, along with some coarse grains and baby food.

The bulk of it, however, consisted of winter clothing and cold-weather gear. The sizes of some winter coats and boots didn’t fit them, so they had to be sold off to avoid waste.

"These are all top-tier goods!" Mason’s eyes lit up when he saw them.

He knew exactly what he needed to do now. Without hesitation, he immediately took out a pen and paper to make an inventory list.

"You can just hand that over to Yvonne later. As for the pricing, you can decide on it yourself." Nina didn’t plan to stay any longer.

Sacrificing everyone’s training time to deal with unneeded supplies wasn’t worth it. Now, it was just a matter of seeing whether Mason could handle the business well for them.

"I heard that Cloud Piercer also has a shop in the trading market, and their prices aren’t cheap," Yvonne said on their way back.

"Yeah. Crystal Cores have now become the main currency, so it’s better to exchange some supplies for Crystal Cores as soon as possible," Nina replied.

Perhaps Stella should also have its own storefront...

Michael’s injuries were completely healed overnight.

Hearing that Nina was going to compete against two Intermediate Superpower Users, quite a few people had already gathered at the venue early the next morning.

Ian was still defending Nina, believing that those two were just bullying her.

"It’s not certain who’s bullying who yet. You don’t actually think Nina will lose, do you?" Chester laughed.

"She definitely won’t lose," Ian said. He was just a little worried that Nina would overuse her Superpower during the match.

Chester patted his shoulder. "Then you’re giving Michael way too much credit. His Fire Element Superpower probably isn’t even half as strong as mine."

It wasn’t that Chester was being arrogant. He was just very glad that he had listened to Nina’s guidance back then and hadn’t overly absorbed Crystal Cores. Instead, he had improved his foundation by practicing with his Superpower. Even though they were both Intermediate Fire Element users, the intensity of Michael’s Skills was far inferior to his.

"Those two are probably going to use stall tactics today. We’ll just have to see how Nina deals with it." Chester had already chosen the best seat. He didn’t have to be a judge today, so he could just sit back and enjoy the match.

Nina only walked onto the field in the final minute before the match began.

Opposite her, Michael and Marcus had already been waiting for a long time.

"I thought Captain Jacobs wasn’t coming today," Marcus said.

"Sorry, I accidentally overslept." Nina was telling the truth. Being a judge all day yesterday had been incredibly draining.

"Then let’s give Captain Jacobs a little wake-up call." Michael directly waved his hand, condensing a Fire Serpent in the middle of the field. The Fire Serpent hovered in midair, opening its massive jaws toward Nina with an imposing aura.

Nina noticed that Marcus hadn’t made a move. It seemed the two of them really did plan to fight a war of attrition with her.

She chuckled. She didn’t have that much time to play around with them.

Amidst the swirling flames, a Fire Dragon several times larger than the Fire Serpent appeared on the field.

Crimson-orange flames danced across its scales, and vibrant flowing light seemed to run across its horns. Its blazing dragon eyes, glowing with fire, made everyone present feel a powerful surge of Superpower pressure.

Even Michael gaped in astonishment. "What in the world is..."

But in the very next second, the Fire Serpent was directly swallowed by the Fire Dragon!

The dragon’s tail was still thrashing wildly, kicking up a sky full of sparks.

"Marcus, do you know why your score was so low?"

Nina’s words snapped Marcus back to his senses.

"Probably because Captain Jacobs just doesn’t like Mr. Palmer?" Marcus didn’t know why Nina was suddenly asking this.

Nina shook her head. "Because compared to your opponent, your moves looked like you were just playing house. They were incredibly clumsy. I kept wondering—are you really an Intermediate Superpower User?"

As soon as Nina said this, the entire audience was in an uproar. Even Sylvia, who had fought Marcus once, widened her eyes.

She hadn’t suspected that at all. Marcus’s Skills were indeed quite fragile.

Marcus’s face now burned as if it were on fire. "Captain Jacobs, you’re slandering me! I really have advanced to Intermediate!"

Saying that, as if to prove himself, a series of Stone Spikes over two meters tall appeared on the field and spread toward Nina.

Nina sneered. The Fire Dragon spat out streaks of Fire Blades from its mouth. The Fire Blades effortlessly sliced the Stone Spikes on the ground into stone dust.

"Hollow stone walls, hollow Stone Spikes. It really matches the kind of person you are."

Nina wasn’t actually slandering him. While analyzing her opponents for today, she had simply noticed Marcus’s strange Superpower Value. That Superpower Value was absolutely not something an Intermediate Superpower User should have. Thinking back to Marcus’s performance on the field, she was one hundred percent certain he had lied about his level.

The formation speed and scale of Marcus’s Earth Element Skills did indeed look to be at the Intermediate level. But they were all just paper tigers.

Michael also turned around and glared angrily at Marcus.

"If you wanted to force my hand, was there any need to use such rhetoric to ruin my good name?" Marcus knew that if he admitted to it, he would become the laughingstock of the entire base. He might as well go all out and fight alongside Michael right now.

Seeing that her goal had been achieved, Nina said no more. With a light flick of her finger, the Stone Spikes on the ground instantly crumbled into powder!

Michael knew they had nowhere left to retreat, so he had no choice but to brace himself and fight with everything he had.

Streaks of Stone Spikes, accompanied by Fireballs, littered the field as they attempted to shatter the Fire Dragon in midair. However, a shield suddenly materialized in front of the Fire Dragon, effortlessly blocking all the attacks.

"You guys are even weaker than I imagined."

After this dragged on for over twenty minutes, Nina had already grown bored. With a wave of her hand, she condensed massive boulders onto the field. As the boulders stacked together under the astonished gazes of the crowd, they actually formed a rock giant several meters tall!

"Let this play with you."

Nina simply pulled up a chair and sat down.

This was also her first time using this rock giant. The Fire Dragon circled the giant a few times before winding itself tightly around the giant’s arm.

BAM BAM BAM!

The giant directly crushed all of their attacks!

Watching this immensely oppressive scene unfold on the field, even Michael’s calves were trembling.

"If you don’t make a move within thirty seconds, the match will end," Nina urged, resting her chin on her hand.

"Attack its lower body together! Let’s knock it down first!" Marcus yelled.

Maybe this giant was also just for show.

Michael nodded. Several massive, high-impact Fireballs blasted straight toward the rock giant’s legs!
