Chapter 502: Looted
Chapter 502: Chapter 502: Looted
"That’s right. Over the past few days, we’ve also noticed these people are only interested in killing. They’d never spare so many of you."
Hearing Nina Jacobs’s words, Trevor also realized what was happening.
If they had believed Julian Shaw, his next step might have been to inquire about the Bishop Clan’s hiding place.
"That’s really not us."
Julian Shaw’s expression was innocent and helpless, but in the next second, he launched an attack on Nina Jacobs.
’A Space Superpower User?’
Nina Jacobs was already on guard. The object Julian Shaw pulled from his space was strange-looking, but when he pressed a button and threw it at them, she guessed it must be some kind of grenade.
A Diamond Sand Cover rapidly formed in mid-air, enveloping the grenade.
The grenade detonated inside the Diamond Sand Cover, actually blasting cracks directly into the sand shield!
CRACK.
The Diamond Sand Cover shattered.
Fortunately, Nina Jacobs had also erected a second line of defense.
But the grenade’s power was immense, and the blast instantly sent sand and stones flying everywhere.
Using this opening, one wall of vines after another appeared in front of Julian Shaw, instantly creating an escape route for him.
"Mr. Shaw, go!"
Jason Garner shouted from behind.
Just as Julian Shaw took out a vehicle and prepared to leave, its wheels suddenly sank into quicksand.
Julian Shaw slammed the accelerator to the floor, but it was no use.
"Damn it!"
Julian Shaw’s face was filled with ferocity. Seeing the vine walls ahead instantly burned to ash, he pulled out the last special grenade from his space.
"Then let’s all die together!"
Just as he was about to press the button, his body suddenly went numb.
A Thunder Net descended from the sky, firmly covering the vehicle.
Thunder Element Superpower coursed through the entire car, and Julian Shaw could no longer control his arm.
A Diamond Sand Spike shot straight through the car door and cleanly severed half of Julian Shaw’s arm.
A bloodcurdling scream erupted instantly.
Wayne Warner ripped the car door off with one hand and then dragged Julian Shaw out.
Trevor also led his people to defeat the remaining twenty or so enemies.
Nina Jacobs retracted several Diamond Sand Spikes from a few corpses.
As she had just killed these people, the system had also triggered the "Selfless Savior" and "The Best Defender" titles.
"You wanted to take us down with you?"
Nina Jacobs took the grenade from the hand of the severed arm on the ground.
The grenade was small and exquisite, radiating a sense of advanced technology.
Her Diamond Sand Cover could withstand even the cannons from Lornwood Base, yet it had been shattered by this tiny grenade.
’This thing must be something special.’
"Damn you! That belongs to our Holy Nation of Veridia! Give it back!"
Julian Shaw roared in anger.
"So they really are from Veridia,"
Trevor said.
"People from Veridia are plundering resources in our Drakonia and killing our Drakonian survivors. What is your goal?
Since you’re on Drakonian soil, everything in your space belongs to Drakonia.
Do you really think you can take it back now?"
Nina Jacobs said with a face full of sarcasm.
The people before her were all fanatics. Aside from Viggo and Julian Shaw, the others had also charged at them with the intent of mutual destruction.
She couldn’t be careless, so she had left only Julian Shaw alive and killed all the rest.
"What should we do with this one?"
Trevor walked over and asked.
He had thought Nina Jacobs would keep Julian Shaw alive, perhaps to interrogate him for information.
He never expected Nina Jacobs to turn him directly into a zombie.
"People who live for themselves can be spared, because there are many things they fear.
But it’s a different story for people like them, who are driven by some fanatical obsession."
Nina Jacobs said.
If they weren’t watching Julian Shaw and he died, everything in his space would be wasted.
The grenade was incredibly powerful, which made her even more interested in the other items in his space.
The "Selfless Savior" title triggered again. Looking at the snarling zombie Julian Shaw, Nina Jacobs had Wayne Warner shove it directly into the trunk.
Seemingly smelling the zombie, Lexy leaped restlessly out of the car.
Watching Nina Jacobs actually comforting a cat, Trevor and the others found it amazing.
"Won’t you come visit The Rhane Tribe?"
Trevor asked, a little disappointed.
Nina Jacobs was already planning to leave.
"I’m in a hurry, so I’ll pass this time. I’ll visit next time I have a chance."
After speaking, Nina Jacobs took out ten bottles of "Healing Potion" and handed them to Trevor.
"Could this be... Holy Water?!"
Greg Unger’s eyes widened as he stared at the item in Nina Jacobs’s hands.
"You know about Holy Water too?"
Nina Jacobs hadn’t expected that.
Trevor nodded. He pointed to the corpses on the roadside and said,
"A little. We saw these people use it to heal themselves. Such deep wounds healed in no time.
To be precise, they’ve used it many times."
"Yes, Miss Jacobs. We also gather information from nearby bases. Trevor says our tribe can’t afford to be uninformed."
Greg Unger added.
Nina Jacobs nodded. "You’re right to do so. Having more information can be very useful at critical moments.
This is indeed Holy Water, which I happened to acquire by chance."
"We can’t accept this."
Trevor refused.
Holy Water was priceless, yet Nina Jacobs was offering ten bottles at once.
After saying this, he quickly had a Space Superpower User behind him take out several baskets.
They were baskets full of Beast Cores, some of which were as large as a small plate.
Of course, there were also some Crystal Cores.
"I’ve been saving these up for a while. They might not be of much use to you, but..."
Trevor explained sheepishly.
There were many more baskets of Beast Cores back at The Rhane Tribe. He remembered Nina Jacobs telling him that Beast Cores were also useful, so he had been saving them for her ever since.
"They’re very useful. Thank you."
Nina Jacobs still gave the ten bottles of "Healing Potion" to Trevor.
She also moved a case of weapons and several large sacks of grain out of the armored vehicle.
These weapons were all gifts from the system during this time, suited for various elemental Superpowers.
She couldn’t possibly use them all by herself.
"I’ve labeled each weapon with the Superpower it’s suited for. You can take them back and distribute them.
Also, it’s best not to forget what Adrian Shaw and Toya said last time."
Nina Jacobs reminded him.
Trevor was her apprentice, after all. Now that she had the chance to give him Healing Potions, she naturally would.
She just couldn’t give him too many.
What Adrian Shaw and Toya had mentioned before was about the coming drop in temperature, and Trevor still remembered.
Trevor nodded. "We don’t have many people in the tribe, so I’ve already had my people prepare enough supplies.
But it’s still a long way from here to City D Base..."
"What, are you questioning your master now?"
Nina Jacobs interrupted him, asking with a smile.
In the end, Trevor reluctantly bid farewell to Nina Jacobs and her companion. Watching the car drive away, he felt a sense of helplessness but still had a few Wind Element Superpower Users clear the ashes from the road.
Before leaving, Nina Jacobs had already burned all the bodies here to ash...
「Before nightfall」
Nina Jacobs set up the safe house behind a deserted hillside.
She then had Wayne Warner pull the zombie Julian Shaw out of the trunk.
Under the constant barrage of Wayne Warner’s Thunder Element Superpower, the zombie Julian Shaw "took out" various items from his space.
Nina Jacobs picked up a stack of documents from the ground.
Inside was a map of Drakonia, along with pages of detailed, printed lists.
The text in the tables was clearly in the Veridian language, and the content listed addresses all over Drakonia.
"These are resource distribution points in Drakonia."
A cold light glinted in Nina Jacobs’s eyes. Judging from the markings on the side, some of the resource points had already been plundered.
