To learn more about the Holy Water, Nina Jacobs decided to stay an extra day at Meridia Base.
Mordecai Quinn also wanted to discuss purchasing military-grade equipment from Audrey Crowley to strengthen the base’s defenses.
So, following Mordecai Quinn, Nina Jacobs soon saw the legendary Holy Water.
The man before them, Felix Finch, had Elara Calder, who was beside him, take out a transparent bottle.

A smug look spread across Elara Calder’s face. "What do you think? This stuff is worth more than gold. I assume this is the first time you two have seen anything like it."
She casually pushed the bottle over, and Nina Jacobs picked it up to examine it closely.
’A colorless, odorless, transparent liquid. This is a Healing Potion, no doubt about it.’
She was certain this wasn’t a concentrated version of her Blood Stopping Spray either.
She had once tried distilling and concentrating her Blood Stopping Spray. While the concentrated version was much more effective, it gave off the faint smell of rust.
Mordecai Quinn said, "Name your price."
He planned to buy a few bottles for Nina Jacobs.
After all, Nina Jacobs was always on the move, and getting injured was inevitable.
"One bottle for one ton of supplies, plus 500 Mutated Crystal Cores."
Felix Finch replied.
"That’s a pretty good deal, isn’t it? A ton of supplies is just a small amount when converted to food.
As a base commander, Mr. Quinn, that should be a trivial amount for you, right?"
Felix Finch continued.
"Can I ask where this stuff comes from?"
Nina Jacobs asked.
The two of them exchanged a glance, and Elara Calder looked amused.
"Of course... not a chance. This is the highest secret of our Riventon Base. Don’t tell me you can’t afford it and want to go source it yourself?
Rest assured, only people like us with sales qualifications have access to Holy Water. Besides us, none of you are qualified to get a single drop."
Seeing the thorny tone Elara Calder used with Nina Jacobs, Mordecai Quinn’s expression soured.
"You’re just a reseller, a middleman. You have no right to speak to my guest like that here."
Mordecai Quinn said coldly.
He had completely lost interest after hearing they wanted a ton of food for a single bottle of potion.
The Holy Water was valuable, but so were supplies. A ton of food could keep everyone in their base alive for many days.
The other party clearly didn’t expect Mordecai Quinn to be so direct, but Elara Calder wasn’t intimidated.
"In that case, we’re raising the price. One bottle for two tons of supplies."
She looked smug. They had used this tactic at other bases with great success. Usually, at this point, the other side would look regretful and beg them to stick to the original price.

"Commander Quinn, have you thought this through?

Elara Calder stood up and walked toward the door.

She was only charging 100 Crystal Cores per bottle of Holy Water.
’How is that any different from just giving them to me for free?’

Nina Jacobs also took out ten bottles of "Healing Potion."
