After I Fully Prepared for the Apocalypse, the Ungrateful Cried with Regret

Chapter 459: You’re Not Wrong

Chapter 459: Chapter 459: You’re Not Wrong

Flynn White was also surprised to find that something about Holly Morgan had changed.

To be more precise, everything about her was different.

Her attacks were no longer chaotic; every vine seemed intent on dragging him into Umbrath!

However, he was also the one who knew her weaknesses best.

Wind Blades assailed Holly Morgan from all directions, and blood quickly began to seep from her wounds.

"Just a Protective Puppet, and now you want to betray your master?

You’ll soon understand what an honor it is to be my puppet!"

Four Wind Dragon Vortexes, each several meters high, swept up debris from the ground and charged toward Holly Morgan.

The air filled with flying sand and stones, completely obscuring their vision.

Nina Jacobs held her Fire Element Superpower at the ready.

But then, a thick vine shot out from the ground behind Holly Morgan. It grew with incredible speed, as if it were about to pierce the heavens.

The vine ultimately grew taller than the Wind Dragon Vortexes, and Holly Morgan had already leaped to its very top!

The vortexes’ attack was instantly nullified. While Flynn White was still reeling in shock, Holly Morgan was already descending from the sky!

"Don’t even think about it!"

Flynn White quickly conjured a Wind Shield in front of him and hurled several Wind Balls at the approaching Holly Morgan.

The power of an Intermediate Wind Shield was more than enough to block Holly Morgan’s attack.

But it still left Flynn White’s hands instantly drenched in blood.

Just as he prepared to press his assault, a piercing pain shot through his foot.

A Stone Spike had erupted from the ground, piercing the sole of his foot.

"Nina Jacobs... You dare to take advantage of my predicament!"

Flynn White spat hatefully.

Seizing the opportunity, deep purple thorns rapidly spread from the side and wrapped around Flynn White’s leg.

"I will... kill you!"

The Wood Element Superpower in Holly Morgan’s hands surged. Amidst Flynn White’s bloodcurdling screams, the deep purple thorns formed a cage, tightly encasing him.

Flynn White immediately conjured Wind Blades to sever the thorns, but as soon as he cut them, they instantly healed.

Nina Jacobs retracted her Superpower.

’It looks like Holly Morgan doesn’t need my help anymore.’

Flynn White had trapped her soul, and now she had personally crafted a cage of thorns for him.

SHINK!

Several thorns, along with the Wood Grain Blade, stabbed into Flynn White.

Holly Morgan had finally killed him with her own hands.

"Someone’s coming,"

Nina Jacobs said.

’It must be the people who were with Flynn White. He just got back faster than them.’

"Kill them all!"

Holly Morgan pulled out the Wood Grain Blade, which was dripping with Flynn White’s blood.

Her eyes had become bloodthirsty as she stared at the eight Superpower Users who had just arrived.

"Holly Morgan? Aren’t you dead?"

Their leader, Roy Caldwell, stared in disbelief at the Holly Morgan standing before them.

What made them think their eyes were playing tricks on them was the sight of the person trapped in the thorns behind her—he looked incredibly familiar!

"It’s Mr. White! She killed Mr. White!"

someone shouted.

Only then did Holly Morgan retract the purple thorns, revealing a corpse riddled with stab wounds, which fell stiffly to the ground.

It really was Flynn White!

Roy Caldwell and his men were horrified and immediately assumed attack stances.

The previous battle had drained a massive amount of Holly Morgan’s Superpower, and it was clear she was no match for eight people now.

However, her eyes still blazed with unyielding killing intent!

After Nina Jacobs and Wayne Warner quickly joined the fray, Wayne sent one man flying several meters with a single punch.

Holly Morgan then swiftly pierced the man’s heart with her Wood Grain Blade, stabbing him several more times for good measure.

Nina Jacobs glanced over; Holly Morgan’s face was filled with satisfaction as she killed.

’Is this a side effect of the Puppetry Technique?’

Nina Jacobs looked away. The three of them quickly finished off Roy Caldwell and his seven men.

"Killed them all, hehe..."

Holly Morgan knelt before a corpse, pulling her blood-soaked blade out as if it took the last ounce of her strength.

Nina Jacobs, meanwhile, set fire to the bodies, burning them directly to ash.

"Besides Flynn White, why did you want to kill them?"

Nina Jacobs asked, walking over to Holly Morgan.

’Logically, the only people Holly should hate are Flynn White and the rest of the White Family.’

But Holly Morgan didn’t seem satisfied, repeatedly stabbing the corpses that Nina and Wayne Warner had already killed.

She looked like a malevolent spirit.

Holly Morgan seemed to freeze for a moment. She lifted her blood-streaked face and asked helplessly:

"Was I wrong?"

The killing intent from moments before was completely gone, replaced by a faint resentment and an inexhaustible sense of grievance.

"..."

Faced with this person who seemed lucid one moment and dazed the next, Nina found she couldn’t bring herself to lie.

"You did nothing wrong,"

Nina Jacobs said.

’What could be wrong with stabbing a few corpses?’

"We’re heading back now. That blade is yours to keep,"

Nina Jacobs said.

The Wood Grain Blade could almost merge with Holly Morgan in battle; it couldn’t have been more perfect for her.

Consider it a thank-you gift for her having eliminated Flynn White.

Holly Morgan looked at the Wood Grain Blade in her hand, then at the two of them walking away. She stood up and followed them...

All day, Chuck Willow had been feeling restless.

She didn’t know why her son, Flynn White, hadn’t returned yet, nor could she pinpoint the source of her unease.

"They probably just fled too far, so it’s taking him some time to hunt them down. Flynn is so powerful, he’ll be fine,"

Raymond White said comfortingly at the dinner table.

"What about Arcadia and Julia?

Why haven’t I seen them?"

Chuck Willow asked, irritated.

Raymond White sighed. "She’s throwing a tantrum. Brock scratched Julia’s face, so she was making a fuss about teaching him a lesson, and then Arcadia scolded her a bit."

Chuck Willow chuckled. "Every single one of them is a handful.

But Julia really was badly hurt this time."

She had gone to visit her; the little girl had a deep, long scar across her face that looked absolutely terrifying.

Since tears would only worsen the wound, every time Julia Hughes cried was an agonizing ordeal.

She even kept demanding to kill Brock White.

This had forced Wendell Lynch to take Brock White to their own yard to eat for the past few meals...

"She’ll be fine in a few days. It’s normal for kids to squabble and fight,"

Raymond White said.

Meanwhile, Arcadia White was listening to what Julia Hughes was telling her, her expression furious.

"Brock White and Uncle Lynch are both on Aunt Willowby’s side! They’re even plotting to snatch Miss Jacobs away and leave Mom with no one to rely on here!"

Julia Hughes blurted out what she had overheard.

"You really heard this?" Arcadia White asked.

"It’s absolutely true! Besides Uncle Lynch, there’s also that Yuan-something and Sister Dana! They’ve sided with Aunt Willowby too,"

Julia Hughes said angrily.

Brock White had hurt her, and she wanted revenge, but her mother had told her not to offend Uncle Lynch.

She said Uncle Lynch could help her father’s position in the future.

But she had clearly heard that Uncle Lynch was on Aunt Willowby’s side.

"Aunt Willowby wants to steal the supplies Dad brought back, and so does Uncle Lynch! They’re bad guys, thieves! They deserve to die!"

Julia Hughes said.

"It seems this ’aunt’ of yours is far more capable than we imagined."

Arcadia White decided to find Lincoln White at once.

Although her husband, Anselm Hughes, wasn’t part of the White Family, he was the one responsible for bringing back all their current supplies.

She had originally thought it was a sure thing that control of the White Family would fall into their hands, but now she felt a deep sense of crisis.

After Arcadia White left, Julia Hughes felt the wound on her face ache even more.

She crawled under the bed and pulled a paper-wrapped package out from inside a small leather shoe.

It was a severed zombie finger. The last time, she had soaked it in juice and given it to Cecily Wells and the others to drink.

’Brock White, once I turn you into a zombie, you can watch your beloved daddy kill you with his own hands.’
