Chapter 2090: Wiping Out The Hideout I

Chapter 2090: Wiping Out The Hideout I

The Seventh stage Sovereign Gnome was the one who just arrived. When he saw Grey use the space element just now, he understood the fears of the Gnome back at the portal was real and he must have been the one that attracted this demon here. He swore if they survived this he would never expose this secret. He looked in the direction of the entrance to where the portal was located, waiting to see if Grey’s backup was on their way.

Grey looked at the condition of the puppet and nodded in satisfaction. When he realized the plan of the old Gnome, he took advantage of it and used all his strength to attack while creating an opportunity for the puppet to also attack him. He was confident he could dodge the attack after landing his blow, and just as he expected, things went as planned. There was currently a large hole on the left shoulder of the puppet.

The puppet shot straight at Grey after locating him. Grey did not try to run from it, facing it head-on, they clashed once again.

Their attacks were so powerful the fabric of space started to crack. The duo exchanged a few more blows before Grey feinted wanting to use the space element to escape again, which sparked a reaction from the puppet who tried to stop him.

Grey, having no plans of escaping, suddenly exploded forward with shocking speed, closing the distance between him and the puppet to mere inches before unleashing a formidable punch at the head of the puppet.

The puppet instinctively raised its hands in front of it to protect its head from the incoming punch.

Grey’s fist was coated in lightning just as it was about to hit the hand of the puppet. As his fist made contact with the puppet’s hand, a thunderclap resounded before the puppet was sent flying.

Grey did not stop there, he chased after the puppet that had still been unable to regain its bearing and started raining lightning punches at it.

The old Gnome tried to control the puppet away from Grey’s relentless attacks, but Grey did not give him the chance, throwing one blow after another. With no choice, all he could do was protect the body of the puppet as much as he could. As brutal as this looked, it would not be able to destroy the puppet. Sustaining some injuries was not something the puppet nor the old Gnome cared about.

Grey threw the final punch, sending the puppet crashing into the ground with a ’bang’. Raising a hand, lightning crackled in the sky, before a rain of lightning came crashing at the spot where the puppet crashed.

The old Gnome rapidly made some hand seals, and just as the lightning rain was about to land on the place the puppet crashed, a small darkness hole appeared that enlarged in an instant, covering the region where the puppet was located.

Grey stopped the lightning rain as he knew he could not destroy the puppet with just this attack.

’I have to kill off the rest so I can go all out.’ Grey could not use his fusion orb else he would be recognized by the Gnomes and the others would not want to bring out their puppets. He wanted to kill off all the Seventh stage Sovereigns at the same time, so he had to ensure he did not give himself away. However, without his fusion orb, it would be difficult for him to deal with this puppet given its strength.

Stuck in a dilemma, Grey decided it was best for him to just start attacking the other Gnomes and Necromancers since there was no way for him to end the battle with the Gnome anytime soon.

The darkness hole hiding the puppet soon retracted. Parts of the puppet were charred from the burns when Grey punched him with so many lightning fist attacks.

The puppet growled and jumped into the sky before rushing Grey’s way.

Grey stood in the same spot, sending out a stream of flames.

The puppet slashed through the sea of flames, before using the same attack to try to cut Grey in two.

His darkness sword cut through a figure with ease, due to the sea of flames, it was difficult to see the full appearance. The figure cut in two howled in pain as both sides fell to the ground.

The voice of the figure made the old Gnome and his companions confused. They found the voice familiar, it was like it belonged to someone they had been interacting with for some time.

The sea of flames disappeared and the appearance of the falling figure came to view. It was a Necromancer, a Sixth stage Necromancer who was standing almost a kilometer away from the battle.

"Huh? How’s that possible?"

Before anyone could answer, a powerful attack exploded in a region where the Gnomes and Necromancers were gathered.

The old Gnome was not standing close to the others since he had to be closer to the battlefield to properly control the puppet. When he saw that the puppet succeeded in cutting its opponent in two, a bright smile appeared on his face as he felt satisfied he did not have to sacrifice this puppet to gain the new one. His smile froze almost the next instant when he saw the appearance of the person that was cut in two. He felt a bad premonition, and just as he turned around, he saw pale blue flames exploding like a blooming flower.

The flames covered almost every single Gnome and Necromancer. He dared not hesitate as he could tell this was disastrous for the others. He controlled the puppet to rush in that direction.

Grey, who was in the middle of the attack, knew his time was short and went for a Seventh stage Sovereign Gnome.

When the explosion occurred, most of the Gnomes and Necromancers brought out their puppets.

Grey sensed this since he was the one controlling the flames, for this reason, he increased the scope of the flames, while also activating his fire domain to make it stronger and trap weaker Gnomes.

The Gnome Grey targeted did not see Grey, all he felt was a sudden pain in his head which immobilized him for a second, that was all it took before he lost his life.

Grey went for the next Gnome, using the same process, he killed the second Seventh stage Sovereign.

The person closer to Grey was a Fourth stage Sovereign Necromancer, without skipping a beat he killed him and rushed forward. He knew his time was limited, and he did not want to expose the fact that he could cut off the connection so he could still use it after the Gnomes escaped from his fire domain.

He killed two more Sixth stage Sovereigns, when he locked onto his fourth Seventh stage Sovereign, he sensed the puppet attacking his domain from outside. Gritting his teeth, he decided to bear the backlash of his domain being forcibly destroyed so he could kill this Seventh stage Sovereign. There were only a few of the Seventh stage Sovereigns, so as long as he could kill off some of them here, it would be easier for him to kill the rest once he cut off their links to their puppets later.

His domain was broken at the same time he appeared in front of the Seventh stage Sovereign Necromancer, grunting from the pain, in one swift motion, he grabbed the Necromancer by the throat, before sending a large amount of essence into his body to destroy the Necromancer’s core, before breaking the neck of the Necromancer and tossing him to the side.

The scene of him casually killing a Seventh stage Sovereign was burned into the heads of the Gnomes and Necromancers who survived the ordeal. The Gnomes and Necromancers who were close to the middle of the attack were killed since the majority of them were in the Third and Fourth stages of the Sovereign Plane.

When the old Gnome arrived, he could not believe his eyes. It had been only five seconds or so, yet Grey had killed so many people.

’What technique did he use to change positions with him?’ The old Gnome thought as looked at the dead Gnomes and Necromancers before him. The surviving Gnomes felt a sense of dread at the thought that they could be among those dead right now since none of them were stronger than those killed. Even a Seventh stage Sovereign was killed in such a manner.

Looking at Grey, all of them had the same reaction, ’What sort of freak is this?’

Grey, who was previously standing motionless, suddenly made a move.

At the same time, the pupils of the old Gnome dilated as he roared, "Keep your puppets and run!"

He finally remembered the person who was recorded to have such a fearsome space elemental technique, and it was none other than Grey Dawson.
