Chapter 2034: Half God Magical Beast’s Core
Chapter 2034: Half God Magical Beast’s Core
Back at the cave where Silvan and his group were recuperating.
Gareth looked at the entrance of the cave and said in a displeased manner, "What’s with the delay with the Dawson boy?"
Silvan took a glance at Gareth and replied calmly, "Grey had something he wanted to check out, besides, it’s not yet time for him to return."
"Oh..." Silvan paused, raising a brow, a smile appeared on his face as he added, "He’s here."
Grey appeared at the entrance of the cave, walking in casually. Seeing Silvan and the rest of the group staring at him, he asked, "I hope I was not late."
"No, you returned right on time. We just finished with our recuperation." Silvan replied.
Grey nodded and walked in the direction of Alice and the others. He leaned over the Reynolds and said, "I found something nice for you."
Klaus, who was by the side, leaned in closer and asked, "Did you find anything for me?"
"Who among us gets as lucky as you when it comes to finding treasures?" Grey rolled his eyes. Even if he found the greatest ice elemental treasure, he would never hand it to Klaus. He would rather give it to Alice. Among the entire group, Grey was confident that other than Void and the Bunny Leader, the person with the greatest sense of locating treasures was none other than Klaus.
Alice looked at Grey curiously and asked, "What did you get him?"
"It’s safer to not say." Grey knew how precious a lightning crystal was, so he would never dare expose the fact that he just acquired one, especially when Silvan and the others were present.
While the group were still talking, they heard Silvan’s call for them to leave. They still had to get to the required location as soon as they could. This was the reason Silvan told Grey they would be leaving in one hour.
The group quickly left the cave, heading deeper into the Small World.
Later that day.
Under the night sky, Silvan’s group could be seen standing close to a tree, all staring in the same direction, where an underground cave with two stone statues of a lizard by its side was located.n
"What we are retrieving is a Magical Beast’s core." Silvan reported with a serious expression.
Hearing what they recruited them for was nothing more than a Magical Beast’s core, Grey and the others wore surprised expressions. Noticing their expressions, Silvan explained further, "A Half God Magical Beast’s core."
Grey sucked in a deep breath when he heard this statement. Never did he think that there would be a Half God Plane level Magical Beast’s core hiding in a Small World like this one. Considering the limit of this Small World was the Peak of the Sovereign Plane, the thought of there being an existence to ever go past that limit never crossed his mind.
"A Half God Magical Beast’s core is there?" Reynolds’s eyes glowed as he muttered, staring in the direction Silvan pointed with glowing eyes.
"Is this still their target?" Alice asked.
Silvan nodded, "Both Families discovered it together, so it’s only fair we fight for it."
He knew the people Alice was asking about was the opposing Family who entered this place with them.
"If so we should hurry up, they are making a move." Alice pointed towards another part of the forest, where a few shadows could be seen advancing rapidly in the direction of the underground cave.
Silvan and the others turned to look in the direction Alice pointed to. Gritting his teeth, Silvan commanded, "Advance."
He originally wanted to take his time to scout the area ahead before they moved forward. The reason they recruited help for the mission was due to the danger involved in getting close to the Magical Beast’s core. According to the group who previously entered, once anyone gets within a kilometer of where the core was located, multiple enemies would come out and attack.
The current location the group were standing was just around a one kilometer distance, and being a cautious person, Silvan wanted to try to investigate what dangers were ahead. He was even thinking of sending Grey ahead; after all, Grey saw a Space Elementalist, which meant escaping would not be hard for him.
Who would have thought that the other family had not only gotten here, but they had taken action already.
Silvan took the lead, while Gareth and the others followed closely behind. Grey chose to stay at the back of the group.
As they advanced, they observed what was happening with the other group who were the first to enter within the one kilometer radius of the Beast core.
One thing they noticed was that the speed of the other group reduced tremendously. One has to know that for a Sixth stage Sovereign, crossing a distance of a kilometer took nothing more than a few seconds at most for the slower Elementalists, while faster ones like Grey can even cross such distances in a matter of a second.
The moment Grey’s group took a step into the one kilometer radius, they all sensed a heavy pressure pushing their body down. It was almost like a restriction was placed around this region.
The restriction was so powerful that when Grey tried to use the space element, he saw fissures appearing around him, scaring the life out of him. The appearance of these fissures was a sign of the spatial tunnel collapsing as soon as it opened. Even for a master Space Elementalist like Grey, if he dares to use a spatial tunnel that is collapsing, his chances of survival are minimal.
Grey frowned when he realized one of his greatest strengths was practically useless in this region.
Due to the pressure on their bodies, they had to walk at a normal pace, which would mean it would take them a while before they could get to their destination, which should have originally been a few seconds away from them.
