Chapter 514: Chapter 247: Evolution of Rapid Charge Fist — Mountain-Shaking Fist
Upon entering the rest area, a manager from the mine quickly came to meet with them.
"My apologies, the conditions here at the mine are limited. Please, have some hot tea..."
After a few simple pleasantries, he got down to business.
"May I ask which missions you’ve accepted?"
"D67234, D67889, and D70153."
"Three missions?"
The manager was stunned for a moment, but then his face lit up with delight. ’It seems a group of powerful Adventurers has arrived!’
"Regarding mission D67234, we can provide the exact location of the Shattered Rock Puppets. They’ve been destroying the tunnels and severely disrupting our mining operations, so we’ve been monitoring their movements. If you’d like, we can arrange for someone to guide you."
"That would be perfect!"
Deke burst out laughing. ’Sure enough, coming here was the right call.’
After all, even though the contract specified the mission area, the Giant Stone Mine was a massive place. Each zone was still quite large, and the paths within were a tangled maze. Finding their target on their own wouldn’t have been easy.
Now that they had a guide, they only needed to focus on fighting the monsters, which would undoubtedly save them a great deal of trouble.
As for the actual fight...
That was what Adventurers did best.
"In that case, let’s not delay. Please arrange for a guide immediately."
"Right now?"
The man froze. Normally, Adventurers would rest for a bit after arriving.
"Is there a problem?"
"No, not at all... I’ll make the arrangements right away!"
His tone was fervent. It was clear the Shattered Rock Puppets had indeed caused them no small amount of trouble.
Although the camp had its own guards, their numbers were limited. Besides, the Shattered Rock Puppets were not low-Level; they weren’t something the average guard could handle.
...
The manager was highly efficient, and a guide was arranged in no time.
"Esteemed Adventurers, please follow me."
The carriage continued on, heading toward Area 2 of the Giant Stone Mine.
The Giant Stone Mine was divided into three levels: upper, middle, and lower.
The upper level comprised Areas 1-3, the middle level held Areas 4-6, and the deepest part, Areas 7-9, made up the lower level.
The deepest, lower level was a completely undeveloped, barren wasteland.
It wasn’t that no one wanted to develop it; the area was simply swarming with too many powerful Demons. The cost of development was far too high and didn’t align with the potential profits.
Therefore, Areas 7-9 of the Giant Stone Mine were also known as the "Forbidden Zone."
The upper and middle levels, Areas 1 through 6, were all developed and actively being mined.
Their first mission was to head to Area 2 and eliminate the Demons that were destroying the tunnels.
"We’re almost there..."
The guide, who was riding in the carriage with Deke’s group, swallowed nervously.
The others were all Adventurers, but he wasn’t. While joining the Guard Team meant he was a Professional, his strength was only at Level 1. He wouldn’t stand a chance against those powerful Demons.
He didn’t know how skilled these Adventurers were, but he had personally witnessed the terrifying Demons on a rampage. It was only natural for him to feel a little worried.
"Don’t be nervous. Relax..."
Deke noticed his anxiety and patted his shoulder. "Don’t worry, just leave it to us."
A moment later, the carriage stopped at a section of destroyed tunnel.
The guide pointed ahead. "That’s the place. A little farther on, you’ll see a huge cavern entrance. That’s Mine C033, the one the Demons have taken over."
"Alright, thanks for your help."
Deke nodded, led the others out of the carriage, and walked straight ahead.
Meanwhile, Lin Mo did some light stretches and exhaled slowly.
He was itching for a fight, eager to try out his two New Skills...
