Adventure: My Skills Evolve Infinitely

Chapter 367 - 202: Level 6 Warrior, Level 8 Mage

Chapter 367: Chapter 202: Level 6 Warrior, Level 8 Mage

Naturally, the first skills to learn were the less difficult ones from the Physical Professions. For Lin Mo, he could master most of them after just a brief look.

The Warrior Profession’s [Jump Slash] and [Whip Kick], the Assassin Profession’s [Poisoning], the Knight Profession’s [Shield Counter], and the Ranger Profession’s [Eagle Eye], [Spiral Arrow], and [Whirlwind Arrow]—Lin Mo learned all of them in just about ten minutes.

"Skill [Jump Slash] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Strength +1!"

"Skill [Whip Kick] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Strength +1, Agility +1!"

"Skill [Poisoning] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Agility +2, Spirit +1!"

"Oh?"

The Whip Kick Technique itself required not just Strength but also a great deal of speed, so it was no surprise that it increased both Strength and Agility.

What surprised Lin Mo was that the [Poisoning] skill, in addition to increasing the Assassin Profession’s Main Attribute of Agility, also raised his Spiritual Attribute.

’Sure enough, anything related to research is inextricably linked to the Spiritual Attribute.’

Take Alchemists, for instance—hailed as one of the most profitable Professions on the Continent. The Attribute they needed most was Spirit; even Magic Power was secondary.

Research on topics like Magic, Secret Realms, Demons, and most other subjects related to Professionals was largely conducted by Professions such as Mages or Alchemists.

An increase in the Spiritual Attribute didn’t just expand one’s mental capacity and increase the number of Magic spells one could cast; it also boosted Insight, concentration, and even cognitive ability—all of which were essential for research.

The effects of these last few skills were fairly self-explanatory, with little else to add.

"Skill [Shield Counter] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Constitution +2!"

[Shield Counter]: Infuse Qi and Blood into a Shield to block a portion of an enemy’s attack and execute a swift counterattack.

This was one of the Knight Profession’s more well-known Skills. It was common knowledge that Knights generally didn’t have high Agility Attributes, making their attacks seem slow and clumsy. This made it difficult for them to land hits, especially against Agility System Professions.

[Shield Counter], however, could alleviate this problem to a certain extent.

The counterattack from [Shield Counter] was far faster than a Knight’s normal attack speed. At the same time, the skill had very high execution requirements.

The skill’s cost was not low and its duration was very short, meaning one had to precisely seize a fleeting opportunity to use it effectively.

And if a [Shield Counter] was successfully executed against the relatively fragile Constitution and low Defense Power of an Agility System Profession, it would be enough to give them a world of hurt.

"Skill [Eagle Eye] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Agility +1, Spirit +1!"

The [Eagle Eye] skill increased one’s range and precision of vision, and also provided a degree of night vision. It wasn’t surprising that this type of skill was related to the Spiritual Attribute.

"Skill [Spiral Arrow] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Strength +1, Agility +1!"

"Skill [Whirlwind Arrow] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Agility +2!"

These two skills were also straightforward. Shooting a Spiral Arrow required a certain amount of Strength, whereas Whirlwind Arrow placed more emphasis on technique.

Lin Mo also took the opportunity to learn Ali’s [Fierce Pounce] skill.

"Skill [Fierce Pounce] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Strength +2!"

After learning this string of skills, Lin Mo’s Basic Attributes rose accordingly.

He didn’t stop to admire his new stats, however. Striking while the iron was hot, he immediately began learning skills from the Magic System.

Compared to skills from the Physical System, those from the Magic System were much harder to learn. Both Priest and Mage skills required one to analyze and experiment with Magic Circuits. However, with every new Magic spell he mastered, Lin Mo grew more and more proficient at the task.

For White Ordinary Level Magic like [Earth Spike Technique] and [Water Ball Skill], he could figure out everything from running the initial circuit to combining them in basically five minutes.

"Skill [Water Ball Skill] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Magic Power +1!"

"Skill [Earth Spike Technique] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Magic Power +1!"

Both were rudimentary spells, just like [Fireball Technique].

Next were the slightly more difficult Green Excellent Level skills from the Priest Profession: [Continuous Healing] and [Light’s Drumming].

Because he wasn’t as familiar with the Magic Circuits related to the Priest Profession, Lin Mo had to spend a bit more time. It took him about half an hour in total to learn both skills.

"Skill [Continuous Healing] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Magic Power +2!"

[Continuous Healing]: Condense Light Elemental Magic Power and release it to apply a "Healing" mark on a designated target. The mark continuously provides a small amount of healing (approximately one-fifteenth of a [Healing Technique]) for 60 seconds.

It was a healing skill that could be cast beforehand to take effect continuously during battle, making it quite useful. Its total healing output was a full four times that of a single [Healing Technique]—significantly more than even the [Great Healing Skill], another Green Excellent Level skill.

"Skill [Light’s Drumming] learned. Gained Attribute Points: Magic Power +2!"

This skill helped restore Physical Strength and boost morale. ’I’m not sure by how much exactly,’ Lin Mo thought, ’but I’ll find out once I have a chance to use it.’

’Generally speaking, though, I probably won’t have much use for this skill myself. It’s more likely I’ll be using it on others.’
