Chapter 1457: Fang Xingyun

Celestial Mirror City, East Divine Continent's Greenwood Platform

Numerous beams of light descended and people streamed out, appearing on the platform. All of them had looks of great joy on their faces.

In their very first battle, they had defeated the second strongest outer divine continent, the Azuresea Divine Continent!

At this point, a monument of light appeared on a platform in the outer divine continent's area. On it were the names of the six outer divine continents. A mark representing one victory appeared beside the East Divine Continent's name, representing their victory. When the East Divine Continent's squads appeared, many curious and surprised gazes were thrown in their direction. No one had expected that they would be able to overcome the supposedly stronger Azuresea Divine Continent. Of particular note was Li Luo's terrifying strength.

"Damn it! How could we have lost to them? Li Luo and Guo Jiufeng are too shameless. They actually fought against me two-on-one!" Meanwhile the leader of the Azuresea Divine Continent, Shui Baoping, had a steely green expression as she ranted. She could no longer remain calm as she vented the emotions and dissatisfaction in her heart. That said, she also knew that her anger wasn't justifiable. Li Luo and the rest had not violated any rules and thus, she turned her fury towards the Holy Turtle Sage College's Yan Feng. "Yan Feng! If you had managed to hold off Li Luo for a bit more time, I would have dealt with Guo Jiufeng!"

Yan Feng's expression also turned ugly. "That brat has a bunch of high-grade Mythic Armaments and has even cultivated Destiny-grade Duke Arts. If even you couldn't block his two arrows, how could I?"

Shui Baoping retorted, "My main focus was Guo Jiufeng! How else could Li Luo have broken my defenses alone!?"

Hearing the two bicker caused Vice Principal Zhang Yu to sigh helplessly. "What's the point of saying all this now? Could it possibly be more important than the competition later?"

Shui Baoping gritted her teeth and suppressed her feelings of unhappiness. "If I had known this would have been the result earlier, I would have used the secret art of the Tree of Resonant Power before coming here. I might have been able to break into the Seventh Duke Stage."

Zhang Yu sighed. "There's no need to go to such extremities. It would squander all of your potential."

"So what? Do you think we still have a chance to become Kings?" Shui Baoping asked with a sad look on her face.

Zhang Yu was speechless. This defeat seemed to have frustrated her immensely, but he wasn't able to comfort her in any way. He remained silent as he let her sort out her emotions.

Meanwhile, on a slightly further away platform belonging to the Thunderflame Divine Continent, a man in white with silver eyes was calmly looking on. This was Fang Xingyun, the vice principal of the Thunder Tribulation Sage College. He was the only vice principal at the Seventh Duke Stage in the outer divine continents.

"I never would have expected Shui Baoping to lose to the East Divine Continent," Fang Xingyun said slowly. His voice seemed to contain rumbling thunder, shocking everyone. On his left and right were a man and a woman. They were also the main seats of the Thunderflame Divine Continent's sage colleges. Both were upper sixth-grade Dukes.

The middle-aged man had a head of crimson hair that swayed like dancing flames. His name was Meng You, the Thunderflame Divine Continent's Sacredsmoke Sage College's vice principal. He replied, "The East Divine Continent's young second-grade Transcendent Duke was the variable that changed the outcome. Normally speaking, a second-grade Transcendent would only be equivalent to a fifth-grade Duke. However, Li Luo has managed to defeat even an upper sixth-grade, achieving the feat of surpassing four grades. This sort of result is rarely seen even amongst geniuses. I don't understand why someone of this caliber would appear within the East Divine Continent's sage colleges. It looks like the one who will challenge us for the position of number one will be the East Divine Continent."

The beautiful lady, who was garbed in red, gave a charming smile. "Regardless if it's the East Divine Continent or the Azuresea Divine Continent, there isn't much of a difference. After all, we have Vice Principal Fang here, who can hold up the heavens."

Her name was Gu Fei, the vice principal of the Hundred Flowers Sage College.

The crimson-haired Meng You smiled. Fang Xingyun was far above Shui Baoping, and even though the East Divine Continent had created a miracle, it wouldn't change the final result.

"Vice Principal Fang, when we challenge the East Divine Continent later, I'll bring a squad to deal with the Astral Sage College. You can rest assured that I won't act as stupidly as Yan Feng," Meng You said with a grin.

The white-robed, silver-eyed Fang Xingyun's gaze turned towards the young figure on the East Divine Continent's platform and he slowly shook his head.

"No. If we meet, I'll directly bring the Thunder Tribulation Sage College to fight the Astral Sage College."

Meng You and Gu Fei were surprised. They had never imagined that Fang Xingyun would plan to take matters into his own hands. Was he overestimating his opponent? ＲἈＮ𝘰ＢÊŜ

"I won't give them any chances."

Meng You and Gu Fei nodded, feeling some joy in others’ misfortune. Fang Xingyun's choice meant that he was treating Li Luo with great importance, and that also meant that the Astral Sage College was extremely unlucky.

The dark horse could end up being stopped before they had even started. Even so, they would still be able to obtain second place, which was good enough.

While the Thunderflame Divine Continent was planning to interrupt Li Luo's rise, the latter was quietly recuperating. He realized that the platform underneath him seemed capable of quickly healing his injuries and restoring his resonant power. This was obviously the work of the Academic Federation. He could sense his depleted resonant power refilling swiftly, and his gaze was directed towards the core of this area.

This was the area the four ancient colleges occupied.

There was a monument made of light in the air that displayed their results. However, unlike the outer divine continents, the four ancient colleges carried out battles between their different squads and the results were tallied differently.

On the monument, the different squads began to show movements in their ranks.
