Jin Ling’er was also curious. “I wonder who told him, maybe it was Pei Yan?”
Xia Yingluo frowned. Maybe, there was no other explanation. But how did Pei Yan know? During the Du family’s banquet, the Du family knew that the Li and Pei families didn’t see eye to eye and hence, didn’t invite the Pei family. She sighed and felt like her life wouldn’t be peaceful anymore.
Jin Ling’er didn’t think so much. She stretched lazily in the sunlight. “That’s good, Yingluo. Now they all know your identity. We’ll see who still dares to bully you.”
Talking about this, Xia Yingluo glared at her lightly. “You really couldn’t help but reveal my identity.”
Jin Ling’er smiled. “It’s such a good family background. If I hide it and don’t tell anyone, it’ll be like dressing up at night. What’s the point? The sooner we expose it, the sooner those annoying flies stop buzzing around our ears.”

At the thought of her mother’s history, Xia Yingluo decided to forgive Jiang Bilian. She smiled and said, “I’ll accept the desserts. Let bygones be bygones, we’re friends from now on.”
Jiang Bilian was unable to contain her joy. She thanked her continuously, complimenting her for being elegant and magnanimous, worthy of being a young lady of note.
