He looked toward one of them and continued, “Venerable Chang Sheng, as one of the Innate Saint Spirit, instead of venturing into the Chaos to look for the Chaos Sea, you hide in the Abyss and assist the Great Demon Venerate to fight against me. What is your goal?”

“I owe him a favor, so I need to pay him back,” Venerable Chang Sheng said flatly.

A favor? Alright then!” The Heavenly Emperor glanced across the remaining venerates coldly and continued, “Since you’ve decided to stand against me, then you’ll need to accept the consequences. The Great Demon Venerate, although you have the help of the 12 ancient venerates, you should never take me lightly as well!

“Astral Universal Destruction Formation, activate!

“Sea of stars, great starfall!”

The Heavenly Emperor cast his special abilities and the formation suddenly gave off a bright light. Countless chains that penetrated the endless void suddenly tightened, turning into layer after layer of immense destructive power.

If his enemy was a Great Overarching Golden Immortal or a venerate, they would be killed instantly.

However, the Heavenly Emperor was going up against a dozen ancient venerates, not to mention that they were protected by a formation and they had the Great Demon Venerate on their side.

“Do you think I don’t have anything to fight back anymore?” He hissed and opened his mouth. A veil of black fog merged into the scroll in front of him. The demons on the scroll burst into flames and fused all their power into the scroll.

In the next second, the scroll rolled itself up and transformed into an arrow made of nothing but darkness. The arrow then leaped into the air and destroyed a falling star. The arrow continued to destroy another 99 stars before disappearing.

“Let’s go!” The Great Demon Venerate shouted as he waved the Blood Banner.

Everyone that was observing the war was stunned. However, they knew they couldn’t keep watching and do nothing anymore as even the Heavenly Realm might be destroyed by the war.

They began to activate their special abilities or weapons to protect themselves.

Above the sky, the stars continued to fall.

The Heavenly Emperor fought with all his might and gained the upper hand of the fight despite the Great Demon Venerate having a Holy Weapon.

Venerable Shan and Venerable Hai were dead.

Most of his troops were wiped out.

However, Tian Mo’s side was not in a good shape either. A Demon Venerate was dead. Black-Hearted Old Demon was seriously injured, and was taking cover at the edge of the battlefield. Amongst the 12 ancient venerates, seven were dead.

Everyone knew that the Heavenly Emperor was powerful, but none of them had expected that he would be this difficult to kill.

The stars continued to fall and crush toward the Great Demon Venerate. It was also fortunate that the power of the Astral Universal Destruction Formation was diminishing with each passing second, otherwise, even Venerable Chang Sheng would be dead by now.

I’m the one who brings order to the Honggu Immortal Realm. I thought I’ve done enough for the universe, but when I’m in trouble, nobody dares to step forward and help me.

“Argh, forget about it! I shall give my everything and fight until the last moment!” The Heavenly Emperor shouted.

The people around wanted to help him, but they did not know how to. Some forces just looked at him with cold eyes.

“D*mn it! How dare you target my pillars? I can forgive you guys for not helping me, but how can you throw stones at me while I’m down? D*mn it! D*mn it! I shall kill all of you! “Since you all want me to die, I shall give you what you want!” The Heavenly Emperor roared, his voice thick with rage.

At this moment, his aura surged. He activated the Hand of Heaven and pushed the Blood Banner back.

“Die!”

He turned around and sliced down two venerates.

“How can he still be so strong?” The Great Demon Venerate was stunned. He decided to give it all out as he shouted, “Blood Banner!”

Upon his calling, the Blood Banner rolled around and wrapped the Heavenly Emperor in it. However, it did not hold the Heavenly Emperor for long as he soon broke out of it.

“Even if I’m going to die today, I’ll bring you down with me!” The Heavenly Emperor growled.

All of the people who were watching this war felt a chill down their spines. The might of the Heavenly Emperor had far exceeded their expectation. Even if he was not a Saint Lord, he had the power of a Saint Lord.

“If he hadn’t been caught off guard, the Great Demon Venerate would be dead now.”

That was the thought of most of the people.
