“I don’t care if you work with a dozen big land companies to suppress GK. But, why are you taking measures like this that hurt you almost as much as the harm you do to your enemy? Do you know how much money the Huo Corporation lost? Do you know how much of my money vaporized overnight??” Jiang Hong yelled angrily, her eyes red. She was someone that valued profit over everything. Throughout her entire life, she never cared about anything other than money, not even her parents.

Huo Siqian had figured this out long ago, and so, he replied without much care, “The money you lost can be earned back, what’s the big deal?”

“Earned back? Easy for you to say! That was my money to begin with! Do you really think that you can take my money and do whatever you want to without asking me? Do you think you are all high and mighty now? You still need my help!”

“Help?” Huo Siqian raised his eyebrows and questioned, “No, I think you’ve made a mistake. You’ve never helped me.”

“Were you brought up by a bitch then?” Jiang Hong’s expression darkened. Deep down, she noticed something different about this fostered son of hers. For the past two years, his actions had become more and more strange and he wasn’t as obedient as he used to be. Initially, she had thought he was simply growing up, and she didn’t mind if he just wanted to party it up and have fun. But, when she noticed the big commotion against GK that had lost the Huo Corporation billions of yuan, she became very alarmed, not to mention extremely furious. She canceled her vacation immediately and flew back from Australia as soon as she heard about what happened.

“Raising me all these years was nothing but an excuse for you. An excuse to hide the truth from everyone. Mrs. Jiang Hong, what do you think others would think and say about you – About someone who looks like a fair, graceful, and beautiful lady but is secretly a pervert who likes to play with pretty young boys?”

Jiang Hong’s face changed in an instant. Huo Siqian gave a chuckle and continued, “Don’t worry. I won’t expose you. Rather, I should really thank you. The dark childhood that you’ve given me stayed with me. Here I am today, living a dark and twisted life. But really, if it weren’t for those memories, I wouldn’t be able to be so heartless. I wouldn’t have had the heart to do what I have done, and I wouldn’t have had the chance to take over the Huo Corporation. So, I guess all I can say is, thank you for raising a monster.”

“I-I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.” Feeling guilty, Jiang Hong’s eyes flew left and right but never once did they meet Huo Siqian’s eyes.

Huo Siqian didn’t seem to be too bothered by her denial. With a smirk on his face, he walked over and sat directly across from her. He picked up an apple on the coffee table and began peeling it with a knife.

“You were questioning why I never spoke to you about using your money, right?”

Jiang Hong remained silent as she had no idea where he was going with that thought.

“Who the hell do you think you are?”

Jiang Hong’s face grew darker as Huo Siqian continued, “Why should I consult with you? Are you really naive enough to think that you’re still the one calling the shots in this house?”

“I have fifty-two percent of the shares!” Jiang Hong corrected him.

“Oh, that. Sure. You can try to go to the board of directors with your shares – see who will listen to you. Don’t be an idiot, you have shares, but you don’t have any power. I can bankrupt the Huo Corporation in one day, leaving you nothing but billions and billions of yuan in debt. Do you believe me?”

Jiang Hong’s eyes widened with shock as she stared at Huo Siqian in disbelief.

“You, you can’t do that! The Huo Corporation is also everything you have!” Jiang Hong didn’t understand, if the Huo Corporation went bankrupt, wouldn’t Huo Siqian become broke as well?

“Do you really think the Huo Corporation is the only slice of pie I own?”

“What do you mean by that?” Jiang Hong read between the lines and glared back at Huo Siqian suspiciously.

“Hm. I guess you’re old, you’re becoming rather stupid. But, that’s okay. It’s okay if you don’t understand. Under normal circumstances, those that know the least tend to live the longest.”

“I’m going to the board of directors tomorrow to fire your ass. I will make sure you have nothing, and I will take back everything that was ever given to you!” Jiang Hong stood up furiously.

Huo Siqian simply spread his lips and smiled.
