Chapter 209: Leaving Home

Translator: Madesmoiselle V.

Knowing Tang Zheng had made his decision, Li Xiaotian laughed, “Okay, set your mind at rest. I will keep them safe. Just show me what you are capable of and broaden my view.

This was her ultimate purpose.

Tang Zheng, stepped forward courageously with a cold snort, totally ignoring Li Xiaotian’s wicked idea.

Mu Hongyan stared at Tang Zheng’s back speechlessly. He had saved her and her daughter for numerous times, and now, he got involved in the conflicts within the Longs because of them. She couldn’t help feeling guilty and angry.

Not knowing where her courage came from, Mu Hongyan rushed to Tang Zheng and shouted at the people on the opposite side all of a sudden. “Everyone stay put, or I promise that you will regret. Feel free to go and ask dad if you don’t believe me. He knows every detail of the whole event.”

Only Long Xueyuan could handle the situation at this critical moment. Otherwise, the conflict would surely break out.

Upon hearing Mu Hongyan’s words, all the people came to a halt subconsciously, and looked at Madam Long in confusion. Panic flashed across Long Tengyu’s eyes. “She is lying to buy them some time. Don’t let them leave!”

“Everyone follow Long Tengyu’s orders!” Madam Long shouted. She decided to trust her son.

All the people charged at Tang Zheng without hesitation. “Run!” Tang Zheng shouted, dragging Mu Hongyan to his back.

The majority of Long Tengyu’s pawns were warriors at the body-building stage, except for one who was a top-level master at the fifth stage of the Self-acquired Realm. He barged about ferociously as a bulldozer, crashing every obstacle on the way, and overtook all of his teammates until he was able to confront Tang Zheng directly.

Tang Zheng narrowed his eyes. He had noticed this man just now, but couldn’t recognize his cultivation degree, which meant that he must have been a nurtured master, whose fighting capacity was far more powerful than the previous two fighters.

Tang Zheng was totally shrouded by the overwhelming aura emitted by the approaching master.

He had no choice but to spare no effort in defending the enemy, or the ones behind him would be in jeopardy. With a screeching sound, the Sword of War Spirit was unsheathed instantly.

Whoosh!

Tang Zheng slashed rapidly with his sword. It was beyond his expectation that Tang Zheng would draw out a weapon, so the master defensed in panic.

Puff!

The Sword of War Spirit drew a weird curve in the air, producing a deep gash on that master’s arm. He was totally infuriated, and intended to attack Tang Zheng on his head with a fist.

Tang Zheng held up his sword for self-defense. In fear of being injured by the sharp weapon, the master changed his tactic immediately by attacking Tang’s chest, which was fast enough to take people’s breath away.

However, Tang Zheng fought against Xiao Xiaoleng, another master at the eighth-level of the Self-acquired Realm several days ago. He would not show weakness in terms of vigor when confronting this one.

Tang Zheng adjusted his strategy immediately, with the Sword of War Spirit brushing the master’s arm. Breaking out in cold sweat, the master had learned well the distinction of the black sword.

“Hey, kid, meet my war hammer.” The master growled and took out his hammer from the back of his waist. In order to defeat Tang Zheng, he had to enlist the help of his weapon.

Whoosh!

The master waved the war hammer violently, emitting a tide of air as enormous as the roaring flood. Tang Zheng, nearly stunned and suffocated to death, implemented the magic of “rising wind and rolling cloud”, producing numerous sand and stones to defend against his powerful weapon.

Boom!

After the sword and hammer collided violently, a crack was formed on the hammer. The master was so astonished that the war hammer made of superb steel would actually crack due to the collision. The Sword of War Spirit was undoubtedly a legendary weapon.

Tang Zheng was surprised to see that his sword was a little different from before. With its power increasing keenly, Tang Zheng was confident enough to defeat the master with this weapon which had grown much sharper.

With the legendary weapon in his hand, Tang Zheng, rushed to the enemies bravely as if with the assistance of God. Not wanting to confront him at close range, several smart fighters sneaked to his back, turning to attack Mu Hongyan and other people instead.

Li Xiaotian and Fang Shishi happened to be standing at the front. They would fight against the enemies when necessary.

Their strategies were totally different. Fang Shishi was an enchanter who knew nothing about martial art. She could petrify the enemies by touching them with her finger. The petrified ones would look like dummies, not being able to move any longer.

Her magic, in the disguise of acupoint pressing, couldn’t be discovered by others.

With surprise in her eyes, Li Xiaotian wondered if Fang Shishi, so adept at acupoint pressing, was also a warrior with self-acquired skills.

She was really curious who Fang Shishi and Tang Zheng’s tutor was, that taught two teenagers so many incredible skills.

Fang Shishi’s took rapid actions, and four warriors were all turned into dummy-like people after a short period of time. “Sister Shishi is awesome. Come on! Turn them all into dummies.” Nannan applauded.

The little girl wasn’t afraid at all. Instead, she only wanted the battle to be fiercer.

Li Xiaotian had a different style. She moved gracefully as a dancing butterfly, but her force shouldn’t be overlooked.

The enemies rushing towards her were knocked out before they could even cry for help.

Seeing his fellows were powerful enough to stand against the enemies, Tangzheng was more confident. “Run!” Following his order, they darted towards the exit.

“Nobody leaves.” Madam Long howled and commanded her pawns to blockade the exit.

Tang Zheng could do nothing to help them leave as he was entangled in the combat against the powerful master. In fear of the Sword of War Spirit, the master didn’t dare attack him directly. He evaded nimbly, keeping distance from the sword, but was still unable to get rid of Tang Zheng completely.

“Stop!” A roar, which was as deafening as thunder, came all of a sudden, and pierced everyone’s eardrums.

A hale and hearty old man walked out, who was immediately recognized as the leader of the entire family, Long Xuanyuan.

His face was grim, as a volcano which was about to erupt. Since the leader had appeared, all the people came to a stop subconsciously.

Tang Zheng came back to his fellows instantly, and stood in front of them while staring at Long Xuanyuan from afar. Li Xiaotian, twitching her mouth in disappointment, seemed to feel pity that the battle ended like this.

“Someone tell me what is going on here!” Long Xuanyuan said in a low voice.

“Dad, Mu Hongyan colluded with this toy boy and murdered Wang Fuchuan. She dared to bring him here today and injure me seriously. Look what he’s done to me!” Long Tengyu gasped while screaming at the top of his lung, with the intention of to bringing lawsuit against Mu Hongyan, the real victim.

Long Xuanyuan was enraged. His daughter-in-law was accused of adulteration by his own son. It would definitely do harm to their family’s reputation whether true or not.

He valued his reputation the most, while his own son intended to expose their skeletons in the cupboard, which would definitely serve as a dagger straight towards Long Xuanyuan’s heart.

“Shut up!” Long Xuanyuan growled in rage, seemingly intending to kill his son immediately.

Long Tengyu stared at his father at a loss. Given his old man’s anger which, though, unintelligible to him, he had to keep quiet out of fear.

“Hongyan, tell me what had happened on earth?” Long Xuanyuan looked at Mu Hongyan, who was blushing and infuriated.

“Daddy, what he said was totally bullshit and defamation. I heard him say that he would take Tang Zheng away when I was passing by, for they were holding him accountable for the murder of Wang Fuchuan, which was pure slander. I tried to stop them, but he defamed me with those words…I…” Mu Hongyan was anger-stricken and nearly passed out.

Long Xuanyuan had figured the whole thing out, for he knew his son well.

He would be dubious if it were others. However, Tang Zheng was merely a graduate from high school, who also saved Nannan’s life. How could he be Mu Hongyan’s toy boy!

There was no doubt that all of this was defamation.

Madam Long, however, knew nothing about his son. She echoed Long Tengyu, “Xuanyuan, this woman is so full of deceptive talk. I believe in our son. You have to banish her, or she will ruin our fame.”

A loving mother always spoils her son. And Madam Long was not an exception.

“Shut up! Look how spoiled your son is! Are you aware of how misbehaved you two are?” Long Xuanyuan interrogated.

“What have I done wrong? It is only natural for a mother to love her son. Who would love him if I don’t?” Madam Long took pride instead of shame.

Long Xuanyuan shook his head helplessly. Even an upright official would find it hard to settle a quarrel between family members. Though powerful enough, he still had a sense of incapability facing his wife.

“Dad, sorry I can’t stay here any longer with such unbearable defamation. I’m moving out.” Mu Hongyan said in an emotional turmoil.

“I will reproach him harshly. And I promise that he won’t do these things to you ever again. There is no need to move out, Hongyan.” Long Xuanyuan actually condescended to comfort his daughter-in-law. It was obvious that Mu Hongyan played an important role in the eyes of him.

“I’m afraid I have to move out.” Mu Hongyan shook her head in determination.

Madam Long had an eye contact with his son as they gloated secretly.

For Madam Long, it would be a pleasure to drive the jinx out of her door. As for Long Tengyu, it would be easier to rape her if she moved out. He would seize every opportunity to make her his woman, no matter how she struggled or cried for help.

“Just let her go since she has made up her mind. We never force other to do things against their will. Just don’t come back again.” Madam Long said in a hurry.

Watching her mother-in-law’s brutal face, Mu Hongyan was filled with frustration. Why did she have to put up with humiliation day after day? Couldn’t she support the life with her daughter if they move out?

That’s definitely not the case!

She has to leave!

It was out of Tang Zheng’s expectation that he would cause such serious family conflict. From his perspective, if it wasn’t for his trip with Fang Shishi to southern Yunnan, this family would still be leading a tranquil life.

Long Xuanyuan sighed at the sight of her resolute look. It was clear that Mu Hongyan, though looking gentle and delicate, was inwardly strong. Long Tengyu’s words had touched her bottom line, which was why she would be so determined.

“Maybe it will be better for you to spend some time away. As for you, ungrateful beast, go back to your room where you will be grounded for a whole week. If you dare to go outside, I will personally break your legs!” He glared at Long Tengyu, who shivered with fear and hid behind his mother hurriedly.
