After White Westhill died, Sorrowless was put in an even more dangerous situation.

Lu Li held his breath and stared at the spot where the skills were landing. This was quite a difficult situation and he wasn’t sure if he could survive if he tried to grab the equipment. Even if he did survive, it could cost him in the future.

Even if he could escape the attacks, Jade Flower Lover and the other players were watching, so he would expose himself.

Jade Flower Lover was known for his tactical and observational mind. It could be said that he was the brain of Blood Red War Flag. With the combination of Lu Li’s body shape and escape methods, it was most likely that Jade Flower Lover would be able to guess who he was. This information would then be revealed to Glory Capital. Sorrowless was definitely going to hate Blood Red War Flag after this, but he wouldn’t let Ruling Sword go either.

If it seemed like they had colluded to offend him, death would be brought to both of them.

As such, Lu Li eventually decided it was best if he just let Sorrowless’ items go. Who knew what he would have dropped anyway? Lu Li didn’t believe that he was exclusively carrying Epic items.

The battle in the Ruins of Solarsal had now calmed down a little. After all, the number of players on both sides was deceasing, especially on Glory Capital’s side. At the very least, 2000 players had died and the rest were retreating as they were pursued by Blood Red War Flag. They were currently trying to get out of the canyon and meet up with their reinforcements.

“Hey, who brought the Boss here? Pull it away!” Jade Flower Lover yelled.

No one had expected it, but the Bosses had actually wandered towards the players again. If it weren’t for the fact that he reacted quickly and used a damage reduction skill, he would have died.

Lu Li’s eyes suddenly lit up as he saw an opportunity. He raised his gun and aimed it at the Boss. His gun was very special, as not only did it deal a fixed amount of damage, but it also had almost twice the range of other ordinary guns. The amount of damage dealt wasn’t worth anything against the Bosses, but it was enough to aggravate them.

As such, the Bosses rushed straight towards Lu Li and stopped right in front of Sorrowless, Jade Flower Lover and the others.

As one of the strongest creatures in Dawn, they were unable to walk around the players and had to first destroy all targets in front of them.

After a burst of wild attacks, there were not many players left standing.

Not only did Lu Li manage to retrieve Sorrowless’ equipment, but he even managed to get Jade Flower Lover’s too.

Time was now running out, so Lu Li decisively withdrew before the area was blanketed in spells once again.

He had a better understanding of the consequences of greed than most. Not only had he given up the other equipment, but he also chose to leave the area instead of sticking around and looking for further opportunities.

Because of the concentrated attack mounted against Sorrowless and the need for additional forces to intercept Glory Capital reinforcements, Blood Red War Flag’s encirclement became increasingly weak. Eventually, a few hundred Glory Capital players broke through and rushed out. The Ruins of Solarsal now almost exclusively consisted of Blood Red War Flag players. If Lu Li stuck around, he would be asking for death.

The battle quickly subsided and the people of Blood Red War Flag gradually withdrew. Glory Capital had lost and their only option now was to plan a later retaliation.

Little Thief was smiling behind Jade Flower Lover like a junior high school student sitting in a classroom. Jade Flower Lover couldn’t help but feel a chill. If it weren’t for his report, then he wouldn’t have believed such an outcome was possible.

Blood Red War Flag was one of the most powerful clubs in the recent years, but they had never been able to reach the top.

For so many years, Glory Capital had stood like an insurmountable mountain, so much so that they were often pained in trying to think of a way to defeat them.

Because of Little Thief’s intelligence, Glory Capital’s 3000 core Elite players had been humiliated. Most of them had died and had lost equipment. Among the dead included Sorrowless, White Westhill and Demigod Asura.

“Who was the person that took my equipment?” Jade Flower Lover suddenly realized

“Oh…” Little Thief felt the goose bumps rise up on his skin, but didn’t change his facial expression and remained calm. “That was my big bro. Did you want the item back…?”

“Will you give it back?” Jade Flower Lover frowned as the suspicion in his heart was already building. He had seen the person with his own eyes. Although the player hadn’t used any particularly unique skills, their movements were very elegant and he could at least conclude that he/she was not a rookie.

At first, he thought it was a professional player, but if it was the Boss of this intelligence organisation, then that was impossible.

The professional players had to compete, so they needed to level up and spend time obtaining more equipment. How could they possibly have the time to build up an intelligence organisation?!

“Hehe, you are one of our gold customers now. If you want to get back your equipment, it isn’t impossible. We just need a bit of compensation…” Little Thief had quickly sent a message to Lu Li and was relaying what Lu Li responded with. Jade Flower Lover’s equipment was nothing more than a Dark Gold item, so he had no problems giving it up for some money.

“If it can be done for some compensation, then there are no worries,” Jade Flower Lover said, then paused and added, “But your Boss should come and talk to me personally. Don’t look down on me just because I am just a Party Leader.”

“No, no, that’s not it,” Little Thief waved his hand and lowered his voice as he spoke seriously, “Our Boss is a mute and can’t talk, so it’s usually up to me to talk about the business…”

“Mute…” Jade Flower Lover almost swore in anger. This was a virtual world; how could there be anyone there was mute?

“My Boss can’t speak in reality and although he can speak in game, he still doesn’t like to do it. He is quite shy. You don’t get it. He has been mute since he was a child…” Little Thief rambled on as he continued to fabricate this lie.

He was really enjoying making up this nonsense!

The final compensation was soon determined, and it would be a total of 3.5 million dollars. Little Thief had helped Blood Red War Flag retrieve a few pieces of equipment and Jade Flower Lover gave a bit more for their on-going cooperation. The whole transaction was worth about 5 million dollars.

Even Lu Li didn’t expect the reward to be so high.

In the beginning, his plan was to give Glory Capital some trouble as they were levelling so quickly. However, he didn’t want to get involved, so he found Blood Red War Flag.

The results turned out quite well. Not only did Glory Capital lose a lot of EXP, but Blood Red War Flag was somewhat dragged down with them as well. Even then, he had still received a 5 million dollar reward. If he had received a 5 million dollar reward in his previous life, he could have saved Lu Xin.

Sure enough, it took money to make money. Money was the hardest to make when a person was poor.
