“Skeleton King? What?” Zhong Yue murmured.

The white skeleton gods and the many skeleton Qi Practitioners knelt before him while Zhong Yue said cluelessly, “That red skeleton god I just killed... could it be that he is the Skeleton King of this Bone Realm?”

He was at a loss for words, and after a moment, he shook his head at how weak the Skeleton King turned out to be.

He thought that as the ruler of the Bone Realm, the Skeleton King would at least be on the level of Deity Emperor. But in truth, he was just merely an ordinary god!

The Qi Practitioners in this realm were generally weak as this place was even more isolated than the Ancestral Star. Coupled with the fact that there was no formal language to propagate knowledge — leaving them with psyche transmissions as their only form of communication — their civilization was extremely weak.

Communicating through psyche might be very convenient but after these Qi Practitioners died, their souls would be torn apart, preventing them from preserving their psyche, making it almost impossible for them to pass down their techniques.

And since they cultivated their strength by devouring their own kin, the techniques possessed by these skeleton Qi Practitioners were very rough; in Zhong Yue’s eyes, the techniques of the gods in this Bone Realm were very average, if not worthless.

With the lack of high-level techniques and the inability to pass down their knowledge to successive generations, it was almost impossible for these skeleton Qi Practitioners to advance to a higher level.

Thus, it had become very natural that even without entering the level of Heavenly Deity, the red skeleton god would manage to rise as the ruler of this realm.

No wonder that hare said that a few generations of Skeleton Kings died in front of the Pale Bone Palace and one of them even got caught by the corpse of the Realm Lord. I might as well kill myself if these weaklings that are not even in the level of Heavenly Deity succeeded in lifting the seals left behind by the Realm Lord.

“Perhaps that Skeleton King that was caught by the corpse of the Realm Lord was the strongest among these other Skeleton Kings….” Zhong Yue conjectured.

Somewhere in front of him, under the altar, the skeleton Qi Practitioners continued to worship him zealously, directing their ghost fire towards Zhong Yue!

Even those skeleton gods were giving their ghost fire to Zhong Yue!

As such, he was completely overwhelmed by the endless ghost fire.

One of the skeleton god knee walked towards him, picked up the blood red cape and put it around Zhong Yue while another one handed the scepter over to Zhong Yue.

As the cape was draped over his shoulders, he felt that it was cloaked in ghost fire and the other ghost fire from the worshippers crazily improved his Yuan Shen, enhancing it and pushing it to a level beyond imagination!

Loud noises sounded out around his ears, and the torrential of power of worship flooded him.

He felt like he was hurled into the sun with the sun fire burning strongly around him and the voices of worship could be heard.

Along with these faint voices, he was reborn in the raging fire and was bathed happily in the fire as he ignored the extreme heat that was strong enough to destroy everything. He swam happily and grew within the fire as if this place were his home!

It felt like he had turned into a new-born three legged golden crow and the sun surrounding him was the egg he hatched from. Advanced techniques streamed through his psyche, filling his psyche ocean up with a wealth of different techniques and skills.

Then, a switch was turned on; a tremendous power began coursing through his body quickly, trembling his entire body, his Yuan Shen and his spirits.

Zhong Yue burnt out of nowhere like a fiery sun and the sun fire raging around him forced the skeletons to back off.

This sun continued to grow and it kept on expanding to the point where the skeleton Qi Practitioners could no longer continue their prayers as they all had to get away.

Soon, the expanding sun shrouded the palaces and slowly melted them, only stopping its expansion after having reached a thousand metres.

Meanwhile in the sun, Zhong Yue suddenly turned into a three legged golden crow that swam happily in its fire.

But what was very strange was that this crow did not have flesh as well.

But even so, the skeletons around felt a terrifying power being emitted from the fiery sun, a tremendous, fierce and violent presence of the three legged golden crow rose fear within them and they all knelt down again to pray towards Zhong Yue once again!

The spirit of three legged golden crow, spirit born and nurtured by heaven and earth has finally been awakened!

Zhong Yue let out a long screech and suddenly, he morphed into a three legged and bird winged celestial being, his violent presence vanished in a sudden and got replaced by a very holy and blinding presence that tore apart the darkness, lighting up the surroundings.

This was the third form of the sun spirit — the Sun God’s Form!

After absorbing the power of the previous Skeleton King and the countless skeleton Qi Practitioners, Zhong Yue had fully awakened his golden crow true spirit!

The fiery sun rose higher and higher into the sky, chasing away the darkness engulfing the entire Bone Realm and every single inch of the realm was lit up.

Far far away, more and more skeletons felt this incredible power and they all started to kneel down and pray to the sun.

Then, a power greater than before was channeled into Zhong Yue and right at that moment as power surged within him, he felt like he had really become a new god, the God of the Sun!

Now, right in the Bone Realm, he could utilize the power of the skeletons provided to him and performed power of a god!

And just how many skeletons were there in this realm?

Just how powerful was the power gifted to him when so many skeletons worshipped him?

With his finger pointed far away at a spot, the earth shook and mountains risen from the grounds.

With a wave, rivers as long as a few hundred thousand miles long appeared.

With a swipe, rainbow appeared everywhere around the skies.

But this is not my own power… If I dwell into this power that does not belong to me, I would end up like that Skeleton King that just lost his life to me.

Zhong Yue let out a sigh and with his wings stretched back, the sun vanished and he slowly descended back into the bone courtyard.

By now, a large portion of the courtyard was burnt down by him, after all, with power generally weaker than the outer world, the constructions of this worlds were naturally weaker as well.

One of the white skeleton gods brought over a huge jade bone throne and Zhong Yue sat on the throne as he accepted the worships of the skeletons.

Fine, now I will be able to absorb their power and speed up the process of the awakening of my moon true spirit and the innate true soul!

With a body entirely made with jade bones, Zhong Yue absorbed the power contributed by these skeletons and after offering part of their ghost fire to Zhong Yue, the aura of these skeletons weakened considerably.

Zhong Yue waved his hand and dismissed the skeletons, asking them to get a good rest and recover themselves quickly so that they could offer their power up to him again. This way was much quicker and efficient than him trying to siphon every morsel of power from them.

Not long later, a skeleton god approached him along with many other skeletons. He led the skeletons to Zhong Yue and he said through psyche, “My king, these are the concubines, I hope you are satisfied with them. These ladies are the prettiest among all and the best of the best!”

Zhong Yue’s jaw fell onto the ground and he lost his mind temporarily and he did not know how he should react.

The concubines of the Skeleton King? This skeleton god chose some skeletons just like that for him to make them his concubines?

Right now, if Zhong Yue still has flesh on his body, he would definitely have goosebumps all over his body.

The most urgent question he had was how this skeleton god was able to tell that they were even females in the first place!

Right after hearing this, Xin Huo shouted excitedly, “Brat Yue! I’ve not seen any inheritor have sex with skeletons! Accept them! Accept them right away and broaden my horizons! Quick!”

Zhong Yue was extremely disgusted; although he was also a skeleton now, he did not think that it would be a particularly enjoyable experience to have sex with skeletons.

And the scariest part was that he couldn't even tell if these skeletons were male or female!

I must not accept this idea! I will not be able to get over for eternity if I actually did it.

But he couldn't deny the good intentions of the skeleton god so he said, “Bring them into the palace.”

The skeleton god bowed toward him and then proceeded to bring the many female skeletons into the palace while Zhong Yue made up his mind to never step foot into the palace for the rest of his life. He thought, I wonder if that Realm Lord back then encountered this as well… Did he….

Zhong Yue thought that it wasn’t wise to continue down this train of thought!

Time slowly passed, and soon enough, six years had elapsed since Zhong Yue became the new Skeleton King. During his reign of power, Zhong Yue ruled the realm with wisdom, he traveled around and taught the skeletons how to cultivate in a more systematic way.

Despite this realm being relatively weak, the law of the jungle still prevailed, with the weak dying and the strong surviving. Skeletons devoured each other and this was something Zhong Yue couldn't change even if he tried to educate these skeletons.

During this period of time, Zhong Yue had awakened his Innate Star Toad True Spirit and his power rose to the next level.

But the awakening of the innate true soul was much harder than awakening the two innate spirits, thus, there were still no movements from the innate true soul.

Another few years passed, and ten years deadline was drawing ever so closer. One day while he was meditating, he was disturbed by a ruckus caused by a skeleton god that came rushing towards him.

“My lord! This is bad! A huge crack appeared in the sky and demons from the outer world had entered our realm and they started a massacre!” shouted the skeleton god.

“Demons from outer world?” murmured a confused Zhong Yue, “What demons from the outer world?”

“These demons looked extremely weird! They had skin and hair on their body and red liquid flows out from their body each time we stabbed them! They are really disgusting!” replied the panicked skeleton god, “My king! They even wore clothes! Clothes! Oh god, I’m about to faint!”

His words struck Zhong Yue greatly and he thought, Clothes, skin and flesh and they bleed? Those are real living beings! Living beings with flesh!

Are they Qi Practitioners from the Prison Realm?

Right away, Zhong Yue stood up and shouted, “Bring me to have a look at these demons from the outer world!”
