News had it that Di Bian and Jin Qunya’s wedding ceremony would take place on Valentine’s Day.
Di Qiuhe suddenly got a call from Xing Shaofeng who had stayed low key since he came back to B City, he told Di Qiuhe to get ready for this job he recently booked for him.
“What job?” asked Di Qiuhe in confusion.
“Cover shooting”, replied Xing Shaofeng casually, “The New Year special edition of C Magazine, I’ve been very selective on what jobs should I book you, this special edition suits you, it’s important to book you the right jobs, it’s about the quality not the quantity.”
Di Qiuhe felt surprised and he asked with joy, “How did you book me this one!”
Xing Shaofeng had no network in show business after all, how come he booked him this great job, it was the cover of New Year special edition of C Magazine, that was huge for any celebrity. He didn’t thought in a million years that Xing Shaofeng had already in game mode before he introduced him the right contacts.
Again, that was C Magazine, one of the Four Mag! So many celebrities would do it for free or rather pay the magazine for some coverage.
“I just made several acquaintance when I was in hospital then I got the job for you.” Xing Shaofeng downplayed the process.
Di Qiuhe didn’t delve into it knowingly, after he hung up he shot a look at He Bai who was snuggling on the sofa appreciating photo albums then he thought about Xing Shaofeng was introduced by He Bai he rushed towards him.
He grabbed the snack bag from He Bai and started to kiss him.
He Bai did not see that coming, “What are you do…”
And he was muted by the kisses.
He Bai struggled to break free, “My snack spilled on the floor, all because of you, you Childish Di!”
Di Qiuhe chuckled, he pressed He Bai’s legs, and his kisses kept coming, “You are not going to eat properly after those snacks, don’t try to talk back because I know it as a fact. And now it’s punishment time for not eating properly.”
“Punishment? I dare you! Oh, shit! Stop undressing me!”
On that very night, He Bai kicked Di Qiuhe out of their bedroom.
“You, sleep in the guest room for the rest of this week, do not crawl back in the middle of the night, I mean it!” He Bai threw Di Qiuhe a blanket, “I’ve got work tomorrow, gotta get up early, ain’t got no time to deal with you in the middle of the night.” with it he slammed the door, to make a point that he was mad for real.
Di Qiuhe took it very well, actually he took it with a smile, aww, He Bai was still cute even when he was mad.
The next morning He Bai who got up early found Di Qiuhe got up even earlier than him, he make him breakfast.
He Bai happened to see the red burns on Di Qiuhe’s hand when they were eating scrambled eggs, he asked, “how were the burns, are they hurting?”
Di Qiuhe took a look at his hands, he just smiled as a reply. Then he got a bowl of porridge and a bun for him.
Di Qiuhe was such great wify material, who would thought about that!
He Bai’s heart was melting, he caught hold of Di Qiuhe’s hand and blew a kiss, he said gently, “Thank you so much for the breakfast. I’ll take you to dinner tonight.”
Di Qiuhe cringed by the pain on his hand.
Seeing that, He Bai felt even more sorry, he kissed Di Qiuhe’s hand and said, “Come back to our bedroom tonight, everything is fine, I’m sorry if I have been throwing tantrums here and there.”
Di Qiuhe smiled and withdrew his hand, he rushed He Bai, “Have the porridge now before it gets cold, I’m going out too, I’d better go upstairs and get changed now.”
He Bai thought about Di Qiuhe’s hand while having the porridge and the bun, he could not help but beam.
That was a lovely breakfast.
After he arrived the set, He Bai greeted the crew and looked around at the setting.
He had worked with the crew once, they all knew each other now, plus Yu Hui’s issue all sold out thanks to He Bai’s great work, the whole crew now showed even more respect for He Bai.
He was looking around at the setting , then he spotted all the props came in pairs, he was a bit surprised and asked a staff member, “There are two celebrities today?”
“Yup, we have two celebrities today.” The staff member explained with a big smile on, “It was one celebrity originally, but the manager thought the Valentine’s day was approaching, why not make it sweet, so they invited a male celebrity to work with Miss. Yi Jie.”
He Bai was more confused, “I thought I was working with Miss. Tong Fei today.”
“Ah~ Yeah, our manager changed to Miss. Yi Jie the last minute, she really made it this year, more than anyone.” The staff member was very straightforward, in case he spilled out more inside information, his coworker pulled his coat as a reminder.
He Bai noticed what his coworker did there, but he pretended he did not see any of that. He kept looking around after he said thanks to them.
The show business, wow, so realistic! Yi Jie now was in the limelight, she just crowned as the Film Queen, she made it to The Gala, she just got favored by several big brands internationally… now He Bai wondered who was going to work with her today, must be an A-list celebrity.
A few minutes later, a staff member informed He Bai that the cover stars arrived and they now were in the dressing room getting the makeup done.
He Bai nodded, he walked to the dressing room and knocked on the door, “Come in, please.”
He Bai recognized Yi Jie’s voice, he pushed the door open, only to find there was someone else he wasn’t expecting to see.
“What are you doing here?” He Bai blurted out.
“I’m working.” Di Qiuhe looked at him, and he looked at Yi Jie, “Thank God I’m working here today.”
