MMO: Pierce Heaven Til’ It Breaks

The power of the Level 60 Epic-level boss, Zangila, was rather ridiculous. When Li Yi and Lonely Semi City brought his HP down to half, his attack methods began to change.

Aside from the red and green poisons, he obtained another type of poison, black poison. Rather than splashing it at others, this one was meant for him to drink. Every time he drank it, he would enter Berserk mode. This increased his ATK and SPD drastically, and this boost lasted 20 seconds each time. He chased Li Yi and Lonely Semi City within an inch of their lives, piling on the pressure.

Lonely Semi City died 3 times and Li Yi died once. Thank goodness the two of them were fighting together as if either of them were soloing it, the battle would have ended a long time ago.

Every time one of them died, he would corpse-run back while the survivor would desperately stall for time, ensuring above all that he did not die as well. Only by repeating that, did they manage to weather past the Berserk mode.

The Violent Bear King had died countless times, but they owed a lot to this powerful meat shield of theirs. Without it, there was no way Li Yi and Lonely Semi City could have gotten this far, no matter how miraculous their control skills were.

“Come out, Zangila’s most loyal followers!”

When Zangila’s HP fell to about 1,000,000HP, his attack patterns changed once more. He splashed the green poison at the corpses around him, creating several hundred undead that attacked the duo.

“Hehe, Zangila won’t be attacked by my most loyal followers.”

Unlike the situation before they entered the battle, this time Zangila took out an Invisibility Potion and drank it after creating that horde of the undead. His body instantly vanished.

Before the players destroyed all of the undead, Zangila would not reappear. Of course, even though he was invisible, it did not mean that the players could not hit him. If they could just figure out where he was, they could still damage him.

Both Li Yi’s and Lonely Semi City’s characters were humans with the Innate Skill, Sensory. Although Sensory only lasted for a second, it was still more than enough for a powerhouse like them to locate an invisible enemy.

“You deal damage, I’ll pull away the undead!”

Lonely Semi City yelled as he used Meteor Volcano to pull away all of the undead Zangila had created.

Li Yi had sensed Zangila’s hiding spot and attacked immediately. This phase looked difficult, but as long as one knew the correct strategy, it was in fact, the easiest segment. One person just had to take the slow-moving undead army out for a leisurely stroll, while the other could attack Zangila without even moving. Zangila could not even return fire.

After Li Yi sensed Zangila, he placed a bright red Hunt Target on Zangila’s head. No matter how he moved, the Hunt Target would not vanish. In other words, Zangila, who was currently invisible, was nothing more than a live target for Li Yi.

They must never kill the undead army. All they had to do was take the undead on a wild goose chase.

Lonely Semi City had the Flash skill, so he could easily take the undead army out for a walk. It was even easier for Li Yi, who just had to stand there and shoot with everything he had. “Exactly, you’re all a bunch of green-eyed monsters. All you’re good at is getting jealous, you’re the type I look down on the most.”

The World Channel exploded into havoc. Some players tried to defend Li Yi and Lonely Semi City while others accused them to the very end. Either way, it was clear that this first kill had a huge impact on the Pantheon world.

How could it not? Most players had not even reached Level 50, but right here they were saying that a mere two people managed to take down a Level 60 Epic-level boss. Sure, there was a difference between powerhouses and noobs, but such an enormous difference naturally did not go down well with many people.

“That’s my quest accomplished, see ya!”

Lonely Semi City did not even give Zangila’s corpse a glance. He merely nodded at Li Yi and then rubbed the Return City Stone, vanishing from the spot. It must be said that he was really quite decisive, and did walk the talk. He said that he would not take any items, and he meant it.

Even though this purple belt did not have any special skills, its attributes were uber legendary. A normal Level 60 belt would increase the max HP limit by 200, and a piece of gold-colored equipment would only increase it by 500 to 1,000 HP, but this purple equipment somehow increased it by 3,000 HP. Its attributes were even better than a Level 100 gold-colored belt.

Li Yi equipped this belt and his HP immediately surged up to 4,500+. Although it still was not as good as a main tank of the same level, it was still much more health than a normal armored class would have.

If he used Violent Bear’s Protection on top of that, his HP would go over 10,000…

There was a pair of shoes among the 7 pieces of gold-colored equipment called Leopard Print Ankle Boots. Although the name alone would cause one to cringe in embarrassment, the stats made up for it. The boots provided a +8 SPD, making them even better than Unending Unmatched’s shoes. The only flaw was probably that they did not come with a special skill.

If he equipped them, all he had to do was to craft a Rocket Propellant and install it onto the shoes when he got back.
